Guys: Why would you put your arm around a girl in front of other guys?

I ask this because a guy friend of mine, whom I work with, has done this. Like, there were four of us (me being the only girl), standing around talking. And my friend came up beside me and put his arm around my shoulders and pulled me to his chest. It wasn't like he did it for like, a few seconds or anything. He kept his arm around me for a while.

And I didn't mind or anything because this is how we usually interact with each other lol. So is this supposed to mean something?

I usually do this as a safety precaution in the event a firefight breaks out. In my experience, this is tactically the best method to protect the girl because my impenetrable skin has been known to easily deflect bullets.

Just because he's confident doesn't mean that he lacks emotional control to go around interacting with nearly every woman that livens his penis...and what if the type of man "you're" talking about has met his match...someone who can play the same game?

I have some guy friends that like putting their arm around me. I think it shows attraction towards a person. I enjoy the contact, but I don't think too much into it.
