My girlfriend is shy around me but not around everybody else?

My girlfriend is always shy around me, she never knows what to say to me but when she hangs out with her friends and family she is loud and is very talkative. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?I have asked her about it and she says I don't know so idk. We been together for almost 2 years now and I just want to know if that's a good thing or a bad thing since were almost at 2 years. I would like a women's perspective on what I should do or how to do it. Thank you

You would think that she would open up more since its almost 2 years, I have talked to her about it before and she says that she just doesn't want to say the wrong thing. I keep telling her that its OK but I don't know it bothers me because I don't want her to feel uncomfortable around me.

I just think she doesn't want to say anything stupid around you so its hard for her to let loose,shes different for the people she doesn't have to impress,she loves you that's all,maybe if you hang out with her in her element(around friends and family) she may see its OK to loosen up

I have hungout with her friends and family she talks to them like she has known them for years but she don't say much to me even if we hangout with her friends and family.

Yea I open up to her all the tine I tell how I think and feel. When we hangout I always joke around and tease her she laughs and stuff.if I don't talk wen I hangout with her then its quiet and ackward

Absolutely get you I'm in the exact same situation it really gets awkward. Well I think she is shy beacuse she doesn't want to sound stupid in front of you so you might think low of her. Just an assumption.

You should be just about the last person on earth this chick should be shy around after 2 years man! She sounds like she is uncomfortable around you for some reason. Has she always been like this, or is her behavior new?

She is been like this since I first met her and I just think that is almost 2 years not that she should b comfortable to talk to me more I don't know maybe is just me.

You want her to feel like she can tell you anything...say anything..joke around...or whatever with you. I've never heard of this type of behavior myself. Sure it could be you over thinking things. Don't talk to her about it anymore. Instead, be more open with her. For example...with respect to how you want her to be around you...Lead by example in this area. Maybe she will follow your lead. Now if she's less shy around strangers, than she is around you..then its obvious you guys have problems.

Well I don't want her to feel uncomfortable around me that's why it bothers me. I open up to her all the time and I just want her to do the same. I make her laugh and I tease her her all the time but I don't know maybe I shouldn't worry about it.
