Girls, Why is she quiet/shy/nervous (?) only around me?

This concerns a girl who I've been hanging out with for a while and is part of my group of friends. Have developed feelings for her.

I've noticed that she is somewhat more quiet around/towards me, doesn't give much eye contact when talking to me and doesn't initiate much conversation but will give lengthy answers to questions I ask her and seldom-ever gives one-word responses; sometimes even speaking at a faster pace than usual.

She does, however, almost always sit next to me when we hang out seems OK with me being physically close to her. When me and this girl first met, she was more outgoing around me as well but this has gradually tapered off.

This is almost opposite of how she acts around her friends in the group, even male friends - where she is often loud and more outgoing.

Could this girl possibly like me and is acting this way because of it?

Yes I think she likes you - acting different towards you compared to other guys suggests she sees you differently to them. The fact that she sits close to you suggests she likes you. The facr that she talks a bit fast and won't make eye contact suggest she is nervous.

Lol I act like that sometimes too, so yes she definitely likes you. Try talking to her or asking her out for a friendly date. The park, beach, mall, movies, cafe, get her to see you are interested as well.

Yes it seems that way! It is important to consider how you behave around her too. Hopefully you have not been too cold on her, which she may take as a bad sign.

There is a possibility of her liking you definitely :) I get more shy around guys I fancy and definitely put in a lot more effort during conversations.
