What comes to mind when a girl invites you to her place for movies?

I love having company at my place. I live with my brother in a rented house. I used to have my friends come over on the weekends and I'd cook dinner for us. Then we have wine and watch movies.

I have a couple of guy friends that I hang out with a lot, one of which I like. I've invited them over a couple of times before to my place and watch movies. So far they've declined and joked about getting raped. WTH. Sheesh! lol. I may like one of them a lot but I sincerely am just inviting him/them for a hangout at my place with movies and food provided, nothing more. And I think he likes me too so why?

Me? I take things at face value, and would have no more expectations.

But I KNOW that for a lot of people, especially folks in their 20s (or with that same mentality) that "come over and watch movies" is code for "come over, we'll pretend to watch the first 10 minutes of a movie, and then we'll go to the bedroom and bang our brains out." And that's exactly what often happens. They even joke about that in movies and on TV, so it's understandable that many people assume you mean something else.

In the future, you need to make it CLEAR that ALL you mean is exactly what you say, and nothing more.

After some time of hanging out with me, I expect them not to misunderstand me. lol. All I wanted was to watch a comedy and we have a good laugh about it over drinks. I told them it's cheaper to hang out at my place and plus, if any one of us gets drunk, it would be less embarassing and no one needs to drive home since they can just crash on my couch.

I'm kind of joking, it would show me she probably has some interest in me, if she asked a few of us would be more of a friends thing, but might assume she likes one of us in some way.

It looks like you want more.that's the impression that gives off, sorry.try to have some girls in the group instead of inviting just guys over. Seriously if something were to happen, it would be said that you asked for it. Not that you would have, but that is the perception many people would have

Yes, I didn't mention. I also invite our girl friends over. They turned up. Then the next day the guys will ask what did we do. Movies and girls talk of course. Actually, with girls, it's always more talking And missing the best parts in the movie they pick.
