Guys, if a female friend asks you to see a movie with her, what would your first thoughts be?

I'm friends with this guy at work, and I asked him if he wanted to see a movie we've both been meaning to see together. He responded 'I'd definitely be down", but I'm not sure whether it's a date or not.
