I hope the title isn't too misleading... But I have a crush on this guy - he's in his mid 20s and is basically your stereotypical jock. And I can't figure him out at all. His biggest passion in life are hockey and soccer, and as far as I know he doesn't even have a close female friend besides me. Like, all of his friends play both sports and they watch every game available on the sports channel and stuff. Do you guys think he likes me?
- Whenever I email him he replies within 30 minutes
- He sometimes talks to me through AIM, although I'm usually the one initiating the chats (I'd say it's split 60-40). We've talked for like 2-3 hours once too.
- He invites me over for dinner with his buddies sometimes and once it was really late like midnight, so he offered to walk me home even though I live like 3 minutes away from him. In front of my house he gave me a hug...
- I was going to go see a movie with a group of friends, and I jokingly mentioned it to him and he came with us, and it was one of the nights of the Stanley Cup finals and I know his buddies were at a bar watching the game but he ditched them. We also went for dinner beforehand by ourselves too (and he paid, although it was pretty cheap)
- He lets me share all of his food, like if he was drinking some interesting drink or something, he'd offer to let me take a sip from his cup/bottle even though I never ask for it - I thought guys weren't into these kinds of things...
- He opens doors for me and is a perfect gentleman (apologizes if he accidentally swears, changes channels if he thinks the content is too vulgar for me or something)
- A lot of his friends that I meet for the first time go, "Oh, I've heard a lot about you" when I introduce myself.
I don't think I'm crazy in assuming that he likes me right?
What bothers me is that this "subtle flirting" has been going on for like 4 months now, and he hasn't really made any moves. Do you guys have any explanation for this? I'm so confused. I think he's sweet and I'd totally go out with him if he asks but not sure how he feels about me. I'm kind of old fashioned and I think it kills the romance if girls ask guys out though, so I don't want to ask him out...
