ok, before anybody screams sexual harassment, I like the guy and we play around all the time, so I'm cool with it.

i was slightly bent over reading the paper, and he came up and smacked my butt with his briefcase. So, in a guys mind, what makes them do this/ I'm just curious, he's done it before but its been a couple years. Did he do it because he just saw the opportunity that I was sort of bent over, or what? thanks!

There was an opportunity and he knew you'd react, which is why he did it. You're just a little girl and he's just a little boy on the playground. That's how this stuff works. Tell him you think he's handsome and you'd like to hang out sometime outside of work. Say it with a smile and remind him to bring his briefcase. :)

Well, the fact that he did it means he's probably wondering whether your are mad or were offended, so just smile and talk with him and be normal. That should put him at ease.

he did it partly because the opportunity was there and partly because he was flirting.

the most subtle way to tell him you're OK with it would be to smile. there plenty of other things you could say or do but they may be to obvious or border on slutty from a woman's point of view which isn't most women's style. A big smile is more a woman's style.
