Going to the club and getting hit on?

Hey GAGer's,

So I go to the clubs quite often and just having a good time then BAM, suddenly a DUDE tries hitting on me. I'm not into guys. I don't know what it is that attracts guys over to me. Does this happen to anyone else and how do I avoid it?

I've had gay dudes hit on me before. Some of them are friends now. My friend Chris has even stayed all night before lol

Thing is, it's not like he's going to rape me (he's a little too feminine to even try) lol I just take it all in stride and joke around with him and treat him the same way I'd treat anybody else.

He's also half-black, though, so I feel for him in particular. I always joke like "Man, you really ended up with a bad hand, huh?" lol (not being racist, just, half-black people usually have to deal with things that black people and/or white people have to deal with on TOP of their own specific issues)

You must have pretty gay fashion or go to a 'stealth gay club night' (nominally straight but in lieu of a decent gay scene in the area where gays go).

Go to a different club and just try and look less gay. :p

But seriously don't get too concerned about it, just tell them you're straight and for the bulk of gay guys its cool. That is if they even are hitting on you and not just regular guys having fun, I sometimes crack with strange guys in clubs.

Haha I know what you mean! It's become a running joke now but if there's a lesbian in the room she usually comes to me. Once a girl proper grabbed (which is the nice way to say it) me in a club and after multiple time of saying no I'm not into girls she went a head and kissed me anyway. I'm usually pretty good at fending off guys, but girls don't know, it just really surprised me that she was so forward. I have so many stories though, that one just stuck with me because of what she did/said to me in addition to the fact that all my friends were stood around me in shock lol.

politely decline. my boyfriend gets hit on a lot too. he has a very chiseled face and sometimes moves in a very feminine and fluid way ( didn't tell him though, I know he'll be so sad if he knew I thought he was possibly gay the first few weeks I met him) but I don't see that anymore. now he is my man ;]

If you went on gay night I could see it happening. If not maybe he took a chance on you. Maybe you seem really outgoing and fun or dress really well. It only happens to me if I end up getting to know a gay guy for various reasons.
