Looking for some tips for my first outing while crossdressing?

I've been into crossdressing for a while. Until now this has just been a private passtime at home. I've always wanted to go out dressed in public and I have finally got up the courage. I am planning on going out of town to avoid running into anyone I know. I'm after some suggestions on:

A) most flattering/female looking outfit which won't scream crossdresser but help me blend in as a woman. I will need to wear stockings or long pants and long sleeves as I am rather hairy.

B) What would be safe activities to do while I'm dressed?

C) What sorts of things usually give someone away as crossdressing? What should I avoid?

D) I'd like to do a bit of shopping while dressed up. Ladies would that weird you out?

E) Ladies if you saw me in the women's bathroom, would that be a problem?

Anything else I need to consider or think about before I do this?

Got tons of experience in this area Babe. A couple of tips: You're hairy? Would you consider shaving? Might be a necessity, if this is the road you're on. Maybe even electrolysis. Unless you're really passable, and have had a lot of experience dressing en femme, you will definitely give yourself away. You would have to master make-up, walking in heels, and doing something with your voice. Then there's the Adams Apple thing to deal with. Consider a high collared blouse or scarf. Femininity comes either naturally (girls) or with lots of lessons and practice. Going out on your first time, is commendable, but pick someplace safe, like a lbgt bar/club or clothing store that caters to crossdressers. Also, and this is huge-stay out of the ladies bathrooms for now. Unless you've achieved ultra femininity and can sneak into a ladies room and use the facilities as a woman would, you'll be discovered and will cause a freak-out. Could be the quickest way to find the police there, when you exit. Dressing en femme is one thing, but you don't want to be mistaken for some kind of perv. As for clothes shopping, here's a tip: Try calling the store first, and asking them if they wouldn't mind if you came in. Newbie cd's are shocked to find out just how many sales girls and stores deal with this on a daily basis. You're not alone, Sweetie. I've gone shopping with lots of guys over the years, and will check with them (stores) first, as a courtesy. No women wants to walk into the changing room, and see a guy in there. Some stores will even have you make an appointment, so that they can take care of you, and at the same time, steer their female customers to another part of the store, while you're trying things on. The name of the game, is trying to prevent a panic outbreak for everyone.

I would have thought in 2014 people would be more accepting. With the toilet thing - it's not like I'd be in there peaking under stalls! There is no way I could go to the mens en femme.

I have been dressing at home for a while and for the last couple of months I wear heels around the house so am getting pretty good at walking in them.

I was thinking of wearing a skirt with a high collar long sleeve top so that will hide any hair etc. also will wear stockings which will hide leg hair. I have been practicing makeup too.

I Crossdress, but not to look female at all. I try to man up my female clothes. What do I mean by man up. Like I normally have a mustache and sometimes beard stubble. Like tonight I'm going out for dinner with friends and they just regular folk. I will be wearing my gold pleated maxi skirt, heavy wool fabric black footed tights, dirty men's work boots, men's black sweatshirt and my work coat. I don't try to be be feminine in any way. I'm just a dude in a skirt and tights. If it was warmer out I might do men's jeans and blouse. I wear what I want and no one f's with me. So I look like a man in MY CLOTHES.

Someone once asked me"Why do I wear women's clothes" I told them I don't wear women's clothes I wear MY CLOTHES. Keep that in mind that they are your clothes.

well the first question that comes to mind is are you passable? (like in your opinion, when youve been dressing up on your own time, do you ever think, yeah i could totally pass as a chick?)

Sometimes I think yes. Particularly with makeup on. My main issue is that I am hairy and I can't do much about that without raising suspicion. I think with the right outfit I could at least blend in.

For hair legs, if you don't want to shave do this. Over your hair legs wear black pantyhose. Then over them wear white pantyhose and then flesh colored pantyhose over that. Three layers will both smooth out your legs as well as cover the hair completely. If you can find a body suit made of the same material and that covers the arms in those three colors that could take care of arms and chest as well. Black lace is also your friend. Black lace will do an excellent job covering most of your body hair so a black lace full length dress with long sleeves could do the trick. Most come with an opaque under layer covering part of the torso and from the waist to the knees or some such.
