The rule where I live is that regardless of the size of the intersection, if there is a roundabout within that intersection then cars must give way to anyone who is to their right and about to enter it. This brings up the obvious issue of who goes first if there is a vehicle waiting to approach from every direction. Someone has to be the first to go, but that someone will nevertheless have to break the rules in order to break the stalemate.
Then of course there is the issue of pedestrians. What if you're in the middle of an intersection, but just as you prepare to leave it a pedestrian decides to cross the road in front of you? What will happen is that you will wind up blocking the flow of traffic while you wait for that person to cross.
Traffic lights are a much better alternative, but for some reason these abominations are popping up everywhere.

Jersey is a small British island very close to France. Thanks to Brexit, fishing regulations have changed meaning many French fishermen can no longer fish the surrounding waters. Understandably they're a little cheesed off. Britain has sent in the royal navy in a show of strength and France has threatened to pull the plug on Jerseys electric supplies. France supplies 90% of the islands electricity.
