Questions: Society & Politics

I mean its literally a restaurant with women in super short skirts and tight tops with their cleavage showing, its obviousy meant to attract more customers (Oh, sorry, I meant MEN.) And really, not to go all feminist and everything but its objectifying women, and i'm not being over-sensitive, it is!!
And there's a new place opening up where I live called Bikini Coffee where the women work in nothing but bikinis, I MEAN WTF. That is just digusting and strange.

I was listening to the radio this morning and they said the school system in my city has a rule that says you must play on a sports team with the gender on your birth certificate.

My first reaction was that's sexist, followed by all sports should be coed. I for one would like to see more women recognized in professional sports. Most of us make a day out of watching college football, superbowl, etc. These are all male dominated games I want to see a woman hold her own against these guys.

However then I thought I wouldn't have played sports if I had to play with guys. I was adequate at basketball. If I was on a team with guys I would've never gotten to play and probably wouldn't have tried.

I'd just be walking thinking about stuff and literally (almost) EVERY person I walk by looks at me and when I look at them they quickly look down and act uncomfortable/awkward and the few brave ones just continue to look. Every Tom, Dick and Harry does it from old ladies to newborn babies (not really, but you get the point I hope).

Am I just too self-concious, is that why people stare at me? Is this normal/abnormal? Does this happen to you?
And my last question is WHY do people look at me so much? I'm not abnormal looking (well, at least I don't think so) and I don't dress especially flashy...

And if you're wondering how I know I'm being watched, my peripheral vision is really good and 99% of the time when I look at the person staring, I see them look away like I didn't notice in the first place.
