I really don't understand this either. I mean my mind literally explodes every time I think about this. When I was in school kids would make fun of my lips all the time and I would go home and pray to God to make my lips smaller. Now that I'm an adult I have come to just accept them but I'm still very self conscious about them and I really wish they were smaller. I mean when did big lips become cool?

That's easy: they wanted to enhance their sexual appeal. Why? It may sound bizare but when lips are full they remind you of those lips down there (they get full when a woman is aroused) so their full lips seem more... inviting.

Because it is natural for many humans to want to be beautiful, regardless how much they might preach about "loving yourself naturally"

They work in Hollywood, people who work in such an industry have immense pressure to look good so many get surgery.

Probably because they listened to the media or society and thought they had to get their lips done. It's very sad that they listened to them or that nobody was there to set them straight. Oh, well. These women are adults.
