Republican governor Gregg Abbot just bussed in more illegal immigrants to Kamala Harris' mansion yesterday, and Ron DeSantis flew in others to Martha's Vineyard. A band of Republican governors have agreed on this strategy as a way to get Democrats' attention on illegal immigration matters. Governor Abbot apparently said he would "bring the border" to north east states since he feels that Dems are not taking his cries about a stronger border seriously.

What do you guys think? Is this extreme political theater?

Quite Frankly, I think it's dumb for Disney to just race-swap an already established character for the sake of "diversity" pandering sake but I'm not mad nor losing any sleep over it. I’m a man and I think about all the debates I’ve been in my life and when I’m logically proven wrong about a viewpoint it’s usually by other men. Sometimes I won’t admit it out of pride. I might stop debating but deep down know later they got me. Even if it’s not what I wanted to hear it might of been the truth.

However there have been a few isolated moments where women debated me with logic and it gave me pause. For example I remember debating with my girlfriend years ago about homosexuality. She argued that “gay people are born that way” and it was genetics. I thought it was a decision. She then gave me a plausible theory that Mother Nature created homosexual behavior as method to prevent overpopulation.

That theory gave me pause. While it was debatable it was true or not it did make sense. She used logic to convince me which was much more effective than emotion. I did change my mind for some time but later the issue of social contagion has come up in recent years. That’s another debate but I will give her credit about she convinced me about at the time. She said it with pure logic.

However when people use emotion to debate with me I usually only get more entrenched in my views. I also give up arguing at that point because I realize they don’t want to have their minds changed out of ego (especially when debating a woman).

But logic is different story. I care about what IS right vs. BEING right. There is a big difference.

If it is manipulated, I suspect that's what it is, it's done to adjust your psychology to think the people in charge are doing a good job. Power of the traders under control of the govt. They will do everything they can to manage your perceptions. Each prior govt did the same back to at least Obama, there's nothing new here.

They generally have to make up for the drop in price by rising it higher to compensate. Not to mention, constriction in corn production due to draught, higher fertilizer prices meaning higher corn prices next year and thus higher corn cost of. ethanol... I'd expect costs to go way up again even as they tap the Strategic petroleum reserve, unless signs of global economy slow down show up.

I'm not sure if the years going from 1990s to 2000s did something to my brain but I remember back in 2001 I would still play from 1998 and 1999 like Turok 2: Seeds of Evil and boy did it felt like those 3 years felt like they were a decade apart.

unlike now where we are obviously in 2022 yet 2019 felt like yesterday. is this part of growing up or did transitioning from the 90s to the 2000s cause us 90s kid's brains to malfunction somehow?

I swear I even feel like we even enter a parallel universe from 2000 and all the way till now. or maybe this was puberty? cause I was 11 in 1998 and 14 in 2001, going from a kid to a teen in just 3 years must of been some huge leep

or perhaps this was probably us transitioning to the 21st century? cause obviously the 90s was the last decade of the 20th century. too bad we can't ask anybody who was alive in the 1890s cause obviously everyone who was alive those years are dead and if any are alive they're probably brain dead in mental hospitals. either that or maybe it was the entering of the new millenium.

Work is easer now than before, we get more options, you can make a living or a fortune by just staying home or whatever and not to mentions, robots may replace us. Modern women can do those without having a caring husband to provide for them which is why they're picky with men because they don't need them anymore. Really what's men's purpose now in 2022 when no one appreciates them anymore? What do society and specially women appreciate in men? We have testosterone to be used not to be taken for granted. Men with idle body get old, get sluggish and die faster and all they get are shame for that.
