To put an end to this debate, does white privilege actually still exist?

No it doesn’t exist. It’s so fucking stupid we have to live in a society where this is considered intellectual thought.
I wish I had legal discrimination called affirmative action working for me

Yes and no.
Privilege is defined as "a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group."
Do white people sometimes get special advantages just for being white. Yes, yes they do. Usually among racist white people themselves, such as certain police officers. (No, not going the BLM route; just saying.)
But does being white mean you never suffer or have problems? No, of course not.
The fact of the matter is, EVERYONE has "privilege" when it comes to certain things or other. In fact, the Progressive left has capitalized and monetized on this privilege of others through victimhood. Using fake victim status AS actual privilege. It'd be insane if this was pre-2010s and you described this to someone.
So white people, sometimes, have privilege. But so do black people, Hispanic people, Asian people, and so on. Women DEFINITELY have privilege in society! And sometimes, so do men. Even trans and handicapped people have privilege, especially among the woke crowds.
Usually though, this "privilege" only works among people of your own group, who happen to be exclusionary. As in, "white privilege" amongst racist white people. And "black privilege/victimhood status" is a thing among other self-loathing black people. The whole "We-Wuz-Kangs" and "F*ck Whitey" sh*t. The short name for this is Tribalism. And yes, tribalism is real. As well as Xenophobia.
But is "white privilege" real in the way Progressives and the left talk about it? No, not at all. Because the white people they like to sh*t on, happen to be middle class. And unless they're Republican politicians, it's NEVER the upper class white people they like to attack. Those like Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, or every woke idiot celebrity.
Of course, that would be class/wealth privilege. The one thing they don't want you to talk about. The last time people complained about the 1% in 2011, we got Woke Culture mutated from it, to begin with. That is why we'll never have another Occupy Wall Street. Because literally the ONLY "privilege" that actually matters in modern society, is wealth privilege. And woke culture and victimhood exists just to be able to join that wealth privilege class. Just like the three ugly lesbians who founded BLM, then proceeded to buy mansions with all that money they were given to "help marginalized black communities." And are now suing each other over that wealth.

If it does exist, I am missing out on it. I'm white yet I've struggled more than most blacks alive today ever have. I've been denied public assistance due to my race.
We had a class project once in U. S. History in High School where we were told to type an essay about the worst struggles of our lives but not put our names on the essay. We were instructed to keep a copy for ourselves so we could later identify our own essays to the teacher. Once the essay was read out loud by the teacher, the class had to guess what race they thought the person's essay was. The point the teacher was trying to make was to show that nobody suffers as much as blacks. Guess what happened? My essay was the most graphic and had the most suffering and hardship and guess what race everyone UNANIMOUSLY (besides me) thought it was? They guessed a black person in a gang.
White privilege does not exist. My skin color did not earn me anything. What earned my way through life was MY will to never give up, not my SKIN COLOR. It was my blood, sweat and tears, NOT the fact I have a penis instead of a vagina. It was my desire to do and be better, NOT a parent raising me because my parents were absent.
All this bullshit about racial and sex privilege is nothing but lies. Some people start out with less than others, but that is the case in EVERY race and sex, not just blacks or women.
Yes, it does. White privilege doesn't mean that you don't have to work to get what you want and/or need. White privilege means being protected, upheld and excused in certain situations. In situations where non-white people are persecuted, beaten up, criticized or even killed.
I am a MAGA guy but I do not believe in lying to myself. It exists, but it is neither conspiratorial nor consensus. It just happens because because we still tend to favor our own kind. But self discipline and honor can reject it. I was raised for five years by a Black domestic "nanny". He helped hold it away.
I've held a job since age 15 and paid my way since day 1.
I've never drawn welfare or food stamps but have gone cold and hungry.
i paid for every scrap of education I've ever received and worked my ass off all of my adult life.
For some reason, I STILL haven't received my so-called "white privilege."
Am damn tired of waiting for it to come around.
Yes it does, as a white man I can say it is a privilege to be born white, I do feel bad for others not being able to feel this level of greatness
It's how it started before... A man from Germany had a vision of Jewish privellage and went crazy and genocidal..
Of course it does. It existing doesn't mean other privileges don't also exist too.
Why and how does it exist then?
@JamesDiaz11 you ever struggled to find a hairdresser that is able to cut your hair? Ever accomplished something great and have it attributed to your race? If you've ever been pulled over do you think it could have been because of the color of your skin?
No to #1, all the time to two, and yes to three.
But in the interest of fairness pattern baldness is taking over and I don’t really have a Lotta hair to cut.
I wasn’t even interviewed for the city school district where I live when they had representatives on the news almost nightly promoting the fact that they were over 300 teachers short before school started this year. I am undesirable for two reasons to work in a city school district, and they aren’t even shy about it.
@Sixgunsound I'm sure there was a reason for that that had absolutely nothing to do with your skin color.
Current employees suggested it, I’m just repeating it.
@Sixgunsound let me guess they suggested that they were looking for more poc teachers.
Specifically female but yes. The city district where I live is historically where all of the new white teachers from the suburbs go to get their federal loans discharged and then after they’ve done their mandatory minimums they start applying where they actually want to go with experience and zero debt. This is lead to a significant over representation among the teaching faculty of people who don’t look like the average student. Apparently the school board is trying to rectify this difficulty with discriminatory hiring practices.
And the district that I actually work for it is an open secret that the HR Director is not looking to hire men if at all legally possible.
For teaching faculty anyways. Men can sign up for any of the low hourly wage hot Dusty typically outside jobs that they want, but anything professional is going to be significantly less likely.
Have you ever tried to get a job that was outside of your traditional gender role?
@Sixgunsound yeah. I work in real estate.
And it was difficult and frustrating to break into wasn’t it?
@Sixgunsound not at all. I was hired on the same day of my interview
That level of privilege must be nice.
@Sixgunsound I feel like you're trying to do a gotcha moment but you've only solidified my point a
If you feel like you’ve been gotten, I can’t control that. I’m just making an observation.
Seems you want to ignore hundreds of years of colonialism, slavery and exploitation by White nations.
How does the fact that our people were stronger than others impact today? You seem to want to dwell on centuries ago, and frame any difference in the present as a manifestation of that.
"Oh black people are poorer because of slavery," yea, then why are black countries also poorer, "Oh, well that's because of colonialism," Yea, then what about the countries who were never colonized, "oh, well that's because of a Eurocentric world," Well, they're not getting any comparatively richer the less Eurocentric the world is getting, "Oh, well you're a racist for not being blind to the fact that Africans are less developed/ intelligent/ prosperous than other people."
Always an excuse. The greatest East Asian empire (China) was crippled, and subjugated by European powers, their people were viewed as inferior, and now they're the second most powerful country (arguably the first) in the world. The second greatest East Asian empire (Japan) was obliterated, and nuked far more recently than there was slavery- and now they're a thriving, advanced society. Their descendants living in America, who immigrated as cheap labor are on average richer and more educated than the average white person...
Any disparity blacks have in the present is from their own undisciplined, unintelligent nature.
that is one big dude... lol
that's the American privilege right there
Are you white? Would you be willing to be black instead? No? The white privilege still exists.
A better question would be: Would you want to be outwardly proud of your own people; do you want to never be accused of racism; would you like preference in college admission and employment? Would you want an excuse that gets you off the hook for any mistake you make? Would you like to blame any criticism on racism?
@JamesDiaz11 just answer the question I asked? If you could would you change your skin color to appear black?
I don't think it exists in my city. You are who you make yourself here , no matter what race you are.
This☝️
To a degree, yes but if you are white and don't work, sit on your tail all day then you will end up living under a bridge.
It's a stupid term created by the left, and no it doesn't exist
The only white privilege i have is getting tanned from the sun and i don't like getting tanned at all 🙃
In some states but in California it doesn't exist I can't say the same for cities in WA
No it doesn’t exist. People who think it does are idiots. No one has advantages simply because of the color of their skin.
No lol. Just point fingers at another race for all your fuck ups
Yeah, it exists as an excuse to hate on white people. As an actual thing, nope.
Black privilege certainly exists!
