Humans nature value rare things more than common things. Gold and platinum are obvious examples. Probably less than 1% of the world's population is a blonde hair, blue eyed females. Compare this with roughly the 95% of the world's population that has dark hair.

The classic narrative promoted by the State of Israel is that Palestinians are late-arriving colonizers to this land. Netanyahu frequently emphasizes this point.

In reality, Palestinians are genetically closer to the ancient Israelite samples that Israelis claim as their ancestors. This is because Jews did not reproduce in isolation to the extent many people assume; over the centuries, they mixed with Latins, Germanic peoples, and to some extent Slavs. As a result, only about half of their ancestry is Levantine. The evidence for this comes from genetics—the science that, in my view, carries more weight than the Torah.

There's also a litmus test for figuring out who is indigenous. Here's how it works: spend a lot of time under the sun. If you end up with skin cancer, you'll know you came later. White Australians suffer from this far more than Aboriginal Australians. And then there are Israeli Jews—Palestinians do not develop skin cancer as frequently as they do.

However, Indian and Turkish men are widely known for giving women a lot of attention. Russian women, on the other hand, are widely perceived as being among the most beautiful in the world, and that perception may give them greater confidence. So far, in first half of 2026: trump policy has added jobs, far more jobs than predicted by "experts" cough. I do not think Mayor Zohran Mamdani should attend the 25th-anniversary 9/11 memorial ceremony at Ground Zero.

My objection is not that he is Muslim, nonwhite, or was born in Uganda. I share the concerns expressed by 9/11 families who created a petition asking that he not participate.

The petition cites Mamdani’s public record, including his past reluctance to unequivocally condemn “globalize the intifada,” his praise of Imam Siraj Wahhaj, comments concerning Anwar al-Awlaki, his appointment of Ramzi Kassem, and other political associations or statements the petitioners believe conflict with the solemn purpose of the ceremony.

I signed the petition because I agree that the 25th anniversary should center on the victims, survivors, first responders, and families—not another political controversy.

Mamdani can commemorate 9/11 separately as mayor. Others are free to disagree, but I think the families asking him to stay away deserve to have their reasons taken seriously rather than dismissed as racism or Islamophobia.

This isn’t a hypothetical division I invented. To me, cases like this demonstrate why abolishing prisons is an extraordinarily reckless idea. Violent offenders do not disappear because prisons disappear. Society still needs a secure way to incapacitate people convicted of murder, rape, serious assault, and other dangerous crimes.

This is also why I keep telling people to read the whole DSA platform, rather than considering only popular proposals such as healthcare or housing. The same program also proposes major changes to the existing constitutional system.
