Do you ever talk to random strangers while riding public transportation?

While i was in Seattle i was wearing a mario themed t shirt and buttoned up over shirt and was riding their metro train line. As i was about to get off i got into a random conversation with a couple dudes about mario games lol. thought that was cool af. Everybody knows mario!

In the city, it's quite a rare event, and when it happens, it's just a casual and brief interaction.

In trains however, I have had long conversations with strangers, several times. I remember chatting for a couple of hours with a girl, about society, politics, things like that. It was a nice encounter :)

I talk to people most everywhere. On a trip to London I was warned to temper it, because I have no problem striking up conversations on buses, subways, planes - anywhere.
