Not saying you can’t care about both. But what’s more important for you?

The economy and hyperinflation impacts everybody. It especially impacts the working class and minorities who are struggling just to get by day by day.

Sure some people are more fortunate than others. If you are high income earner and/or were given raises that matched inflation then you could care less about this. Some people are financially supported by others and don’t have to worry about paying rent, mortgage, putting food on the table, etc. So maybe this hasn’t hurt you but you would have to be blind and/or very arrogant to see how bad things have gotten inflation wise in the last 4 years.

Abortion is a sticky topic. I am not going to judge any woman on her who had a past abortion or plans on getting one.

But I just have to ask is having an unplanned pregnancy some sort of an inevitable event for women? Is it just 100% unavoidable that this is going to happen to you?

You want to have sex, fine. I also know that no contraceptive is 100% reliable. But really if you and your partner are responsible the chances of having an accident are very low nowadays. Not impossible but not likely.

I just don’t understand why abortion is such a huge deal given the problem can be avoided in the place if you are a responsible adult.

Anyway I plan on getting some long rants and angry responses on the second part of what I said above. But just saying.

Hillary Clinton called for the repeal of Section 230 of the (way out of date IMHO - 1996!!) TeleCommunications Act, which protects online platforms from being held liable for users content on social media.

"We should be, in my view, repealing Section 230, which gave early platforms on the internet immunity because they were thought to be just "pass-throughs" and that they shouldn't be judged for the content that is posted," Clinton said "But we now know that that was an overly simple view, that if the platforms, whether it's Facebook or Twitter/X or Instagram or TikTok, whatever they are, if they don't moderate and monitor the content, we lose total control," she continued. "And it's not just the social and psychological affects, it's real life."

Clinton said the social media companies should have their immunity stripped so "guardrails" could be self-imposed WITHOUT regulations as the potential of being sued for third party user content would guarantee this self-serving outcome.

Many free speech advocates are torn by the issues raised. Some have said "This has nothing to do with censorship of either conservative or liberal views. These social media companies are publicly traded, private corporations accountable to their shareholders above all other considerations - that's capitalism. If, as private corporations they choose not to host material they believe to be inflammatory, false or misleading content that unfortunately would create another scenario whereby the private corporations are now the gatekeepers for an increasing number of Americans source of news." Others have stated "However, the imposition of rudimentary "guard rails" would be prudent and the issue of gatekeeping would have to be addressed as a known consequence of putting those guardrails in place.".

FYI: Since 1790 the Census has counted RESIDENTS NOT CITIZENS! SCOTUS has upheld this dozens of times cuz 1) It is up to states to verify citizenship for voting purposes. 2) Pragmatism dictates that Congress needs to forecast public needs of ALL people.

The 2020 Census autopsy map (above) of over / undercounts. MAGA states that non citizens are over counted in Democrat areas and rural citizens in MAGA areas are under counted. The Census Bureau data unequivocably proves this is not accurate.

2020 Census did however find significant undercounts among certain demographic groups—including young children and people identifying as Black, Asian, American Indian and Alaska Native, and Latino.

In each of the last five censuses, count imputation made up less than half of 1 percent of the TOTAL population count.

In 2010, 0.4 percent of the population count was imputed.

We recognize that using information from these three techniques — imputation, using administrative records, and proxies — may not always match the reality of an address’s occupancy status or the characteristics of the people who live there. However, these techniques are widely used in statistics because they have been proven to be more accurate than leaving the information blank."

Since women have the right, through abortion, to escape any responsibilities for having sex and creating a child, should men also have the right to a "paper abortion" to legally shed any obligations to support the child?

The DOJ is suing Maryland for discrimination of females and ethnic minorities for two reasons.

1) The physical standard test precludes many women from becoming state troopers.

2) The math test is failed disproportionately by certain ethnic groups in Maryland.

So, what do you think. Are math tests for Troopers racist, or should they be able to do basic math?

The PDB is the "President's Daily Briefing" and is given to presidential candidates as a pragmatic courtesy in order that they can be prepared when and if they assume the office.

Recall that Trump is still facing multiple felony accounts for secretly taking, denying, lying, obfuscating and not securing top secret documents. Despite this potential security risk, Biden has continued to extend this courtesy to Trump. Previously, it had been reported that he refused to read it and Jared kushner, his son-in-law, read it religiously and in insecure locations.

Regarding the actual law and felonies alleged to being committed, essentially, the Logan Act states that private citizens cannot conduct their own diplomacy. The FARA Act (Foreign Agents Registration Act) requires “foreign agents” to register with the Attorney General. It applies broadly to anyone who acts on behalf of a “foreign principal” to influence U. S. policy or public opinion.

However, Bob Woodwards new book reports:

"Former U. S. President Donald Trump secretly spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin as many as seven times after he left office, The New York Times (NYT) reported.

According to Woodward's latest book "War," the two might have spoken a half-dozen other times after Trump left the White House in 2020, the unnamed aide claimed.

Putin and Trump allegedly spoke even as Trump was reportedly pressuring Republicans to block the $60 billion aid package for Kyiv.

The book also reports for the first time that Trump, while still in office early during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, secretly sent Mr. Putin what were then rare Abbott Point of Care test machines for the Russian’s personal use."

What do you think? Should he lose his courtesy access to the POTUS Daily Briefing until this is resolved? Should these allegations be investigated by Congress or special counsel?

Mayor Brandon Johnson (D Chicago) wanted to give the teachers union a ~10% raise which the city couldn't afford. Thus they decided to take out a high interest loan to make up for the shortfall. This was not permitted by the school board members as it is a very financially irresponsible decision. Now Brandon Johnson says that they're all racist and financial responsibility was the argument made by confederates. "Now the so called experts, the so called fiscally responsible stewards are making the same argument when our people wanted to be liberated and emancipated in this country. The argument was, 'you can't free black people because it will be too expensive.'"

So, what do you think. Is it racist to be financially responsible?

Sanewashing: Attempting to downplay a person or idea's radicality to make it more acceptable to the general public. This is often done by media & supporters claiming that the radicalism / speaker is taken out of context, don't truly represent the movement, or that opponents' arguments about its severity are wrong.
Oftentimes, the person / media doing the sanewashing isn't radical themselves—they may be doing so because they genuinely don't believe the movement to be radical, or are trying to justify to themselves how they can support a radical movement.
It is also used in the context of making the unintelligible, erratic or incoherent babbling or rantings seem sane by media being selective and favorable in its treatment of the person's words and delivery.
