1 yI’m more Progressive than Liberal, Liberal now is just a buzz word to drag Americans in the mud who have good ideas, having good intentions, and wanting hope & joy & patriotism.
I am more center lane than most people since I believe to myself that Trump has failed our country because as a Trump supporter back in the day I ate up everything he was saying from Afghan troop pullout, Obamacare repeal & replacement plan, bring jobs back, secret ISIS wipe out plan, Infrastructure (“I alone can fix it”) and DOJ imprisoning Hillary Clinton after finding sufficient evidence….. OH and “a wall with fix the southern border and I will have Mexico pay for that way” EVERY PROMISE within One Term (4 years) and he didn’t accomplish any. I know this because I finally gained some sense to go, “What promises has he kept so far?” Answer: None.

Even with a Republican Majority, Didn’t Achieve Shit. Vice President was running for President in 2020 as my eyes were glued to Trump’s interviews & rallies & speeches as I compared them to Biden’s interviews & rallies & speeches then the debates which immediately won me over to Biden since he ran on Infrastructure, Expanding Affordable Care Act (Expand Obamacare), Bring Jobs Back with Funding in Microchip Technology, Pullout of Afghanistan, American Rescue Plan (free tests & free masks & stimulus pandemic relief to struggling families), and more.

Democrats had slimmer majority yet got more done Trump isn’t good at connections in the Congress & Senate to be able to negotiate, which is why he resorted to shutting down the government for the longest period in history just to peer pressure politicians to agree with his border wall plan which didn’t fix the southern border issue because he is riding on the golden escalator of broken dreams. He doesn’t care about our needs & our desires, just wants to feed us shit that he peddles as a ‘miracle cure’ and won’t actually implement crap. VOTE Kamala Harris and VOTE Tim Walz because they actually give a damn for the US Constitution & their country & the American public.

2012 Election - Trump’s Tweets (after Romney Lost)
NOT preserving protecting or defending the Constitution and NOT faithfully executing office duties to best of his abilities. Trump fooled US once, fooled US twice…. Don’t let him fool US a third.

Kamala Harris’ record: Chips And Science Act for Technology Based Manufacturing Jobs (Microchips To Out Compete China), Pact Act for Millions of Veterans to receive the benefits they deserve for putting their life on the line every day for our freedoms, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (Helps rebuild our Infrastructure), and so much more.
Tim Walz’s record: Tax breaks (Minnesotan taxes decreased under Tim Walz), Child Tax Credit (Minnesotan Tax Credit increased under Tim Walz), 15 week Paid Parental leave for Amazon Warehouse Workers, Hospital & Nursing Home Staff, and School Faculty, Increasing Minimum Wage, etc.(all Under Tim Walz)
Tim Walz increased police funding during 2020.

But when I say those words all the American brains are going to do a 360 backflip and understand it wrong. So for the Americans ill just say conservative.
But lets break it down a bit.
I am a liberal instead of authoritarian because I believe in individual liberty and sovereignty of the individual. I don't want a dictator to decide what we can or can't do. But I am not a libertarian because I do think the government has a necessary function and should be wielded against corporations to keep those from becoming tyrannical or to powerful.
I am a democrat (not the party but the principle) because I believe in direct democracy where citizens get a direct say in policy because you can't buy out an entire state, you can however corrupt politicians.I am a capitalist since it allows for decentralized power and wealth which is way better than just outright having centralized decision making. I also highly value ownership of personal property and the ability to build your own capital.
I am a nationalist because I believe all people are entitled to their own nation that is run how they want it to be run, rather than global tyranny trying to impose its views on everyone. Democracy can't function on to large of a scale, world wide democracies can not exist.
And progressive since I want actual progress towards the above rather than keeping things as they are. Currently however the conservatives are trying to defend the above, so I align with the modern day US conservatives since they are the real liberals and the "liberals" are just socialists. But I am not delusional that I am a conservative by default, at some point you successfully defended what I value and I want to go a step further towards the above, and then the people who want things to remain the same broken thing will be against me. That's fine though, for now we have the same direction and we can work together for as long as that lasts.

Liberals are if anything centrist and I am much farther left than that.20 Reply

1 yProbably most aptly described as “progressive.” Call me liberal if you insist. Most conservative social positions are the definition of bigotry, indecency, and soullessness to me.

Basically I don’t think either side is worth much.
But depending on a given situation my world views will unintentionally align with one side or the other00 Reply- 6.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
1 yNeither, I'm a middle-of-the-road Independent. I have some liberal philosophies, some conservative philosophies, and a lot of middle-ground philosophies.
For those of you who are still wondering... I'm voting on election day and I will decide who to vote for when I approach the voting machine in the polling place.

1 yAligned far more modern conservatives than anything from the modern Democrats.
I don't do "party" voting though I actually have a mind of my own on individual issues and always want to hear the "why or why not". I do not like hive mind.

Anonymous(30-35)1 yNeither. I'm a libertarian. I know many conservatives and liberals will roll their eyes at this but I feel like Libertarianism is essentially the fusion of everything that's good in each of those ideologies.
Low taxes? Conservatism, libertarianism.
Rights of sexualities? Liberalism, libertarianism.

1 yI'm a liberal leaning moderate. When and IF I ever hear a good idea from the conservatives, I'll support it. Problem is, there are hardly any conservatives anymore - they're extremists of one form or another.

1 yNeither, because the political ideology isn't 2 sided, it's a circular spectrum. I'm for progressing the working class and actually looking at politicians actions and history instead of just listening to their sweet sounding mouth vomit.
