A Look Into the 2023-2024 NFL Conference Championship Sunday

EnglishArtsteacher

The last two weeks(links below), I've wrote myTakes on the 2023-2024 NFL Postseason.

Super Wild Card Weekend

Divisional Round

Now, it's time for the 2023-2024 Conference Championship Weekend!

Let's preview each of the four teams in the conference championship.

Baltimore Ravens(vs.Chiefs on 01/28/2024 at 3:00 P.M. E.T.).

A Look Into the 2023-2024 NFL Conference Championship Sunday

Record: 14-4(best in the NFL).

Head to Head Record This Season: 0-0(First time playing each other).

Last time the Ravens won an AFC Championship Game: 01/20/2013(@Patriots).

The Ravens are my second-most hated NFL Team, so it gives me agony to admit this, but they're the overall best team in the NFL, and they're now my prediction to win the Super Bowl(my preason prediction was that the 49ers would beat the Chiefs).

They're an overall superiror team to every other NFL Team, with an incredible coaching staff, Special Teams, explosive offense, and stout defense. Head to head, the Ravens are better in almost every way. Oh, and did I mention the Ravens are playing at home?

However, there is one problem standing in the way of the Chiefs: Recent history. I said it last week with the Chiefs/Bills, and I was correct.

The Ravens are very little postseason experience on their team, and many think it's only a matter of time before they choke in the playoffs. The problem is, the Chiefs are the exact opposite: They play their best football in the playoffs, and are the kings of clutch. Never, ever count out an offense masterminded by Andy Reid, and led by Patrick Mahomes II, and Travis Kelce.

With that being said, as I said in my firsy myTake, I think the Ravens take care of business at home.

Kansas City Chiefs(@Ravens on 01/28/2024 at 3:00 P.M. E.T.).

A Look Into the 2023-2024 NFL Conference Championship Sunday

Record: 13-6

Head to Head Record This Season: 0-0(First time playing each other).

Last time the Chiefs won an AFC Championship Game: 01/29/2023(vs.Bengals).

The Chiefs really are trying to be the most hated team in the NFL. Taylor Swift, Brittany Mahomes, Patrick Mahomes II, Travis Kelce, Jackson Mahomes, Andy Reid's muderous son, and now...the fact the Chiefs squeak by on a fluky game, again.

But, I as I said above, they've met their match. While the Chiefs offense pulls out magic, led by who may be the best Quarterback I've ever seen(Mahomes), I think they're simply too overpowered this time around, and if their run defense can't turn it around big time, they won't survive Lamar Jackson, and the Ravens run game.

Final Score Prediction: Ravens-24, Chiefs-21.

San Francisco 49ers(vs.Lions on 01/28/2024 at 3:30 P.M. P.T.).

A Look Into the 2023-2024 NFL Conference Championship Sunday

Record: 13-5

Head to Head Record This Season: 0-0(First time playing each other).

Last time the 49ers won an NFC Championship Game: 01/19/2020(vs.Packers).

The 49ers are basically the NFC version of the Ravens: They're completed loaded on both sides of the ball. However, with Deebo Samuel's lingering injury, that could turn things around, and make this a much harder game than the 49ers are expecting it to be. Also, should we expect a Mr. Irrelevant to finally play like one during the postseason? It's possible, but I don't think so, given Brock Purdy has surpassed all expectations by now. They're going to show us(again) why they're arguably the best team in the NFL.

Detroit Lions(@49ers on 01/28/2024 at 3:30 P.M. P.T.)

A Look Into the 2023-2024 NFL Conference Championship Sunday

Record: 14-5

Head to Head Record This Season: 0-0(First time playing each other).

Last time the Lions won an NFC Championship Game: Never(94th Season in the NFL).

It's the team seemingly everyone is rooting for to win the Super Bowl(except, of course, for Chiefs, Ravens, and 49ers fans).

They haven't won an NFL Championship in 67 years, and this is the best roster they may have ever had in their history(yes, even the years they won championships). Both sides of the ball look good, and they have a great Special Teams unit, and a no-nonsense, risk-taking Head Coach, Dan Campbell.

I don't think they'll pull it off, but it's been a fun ride.

Final Score Prediction: 49ers-27, Lions-17.
