So why didn't he go to jail?
How come Drago did not go to jail for killing apollo creed?

So why didn't he go to jail?
Numerous men have died in boxing matches through the years. You cannot get prison time for killing a man if you both agreed to fight in the ring and you followed the rules of the match and listened to the referee if he end the fight and/or obeyed the corner man's ending the fight by throwing in the towel. That's how it has always been. It's the same with race car driving. You can crash into someone and kill them. There is no legal consequence. Before taking up such dangerous sports people should know what they're getting themselves into.
Well, Apollo Creed refused to end the fight! Otherwise he might have survived from his injuries and not died from brain trauma during the fight! Furthermore, this fight was sanctioned, if I am correct. So, where are the liabilities if a boxer does end up dying from their injuries? Third, this was a highly political and international fight! We couldn't throw Drago in jail even if we wanted to due to the political nature of things in the movie. So, there are some good reasons for why he wasn't tried for the death of Apollo Creed.
Cuz it's just a movie. No one would die in boxing, right?
"Diplomatic Immunity" Lol.
Unrealistic...
Only in the movies.

Drago's mission was to protect John Connor.
But he thought Rocky was Rambo, and he thought Rambo was The Terminator, so that's why he killed Apollo in the ring.
Apollo was just a means to an end. It was really all to get to Rocky, who again, he thought was The Terminator.
Drago was actually really brave. Confused, but brave.
Simply because it was a casualty from the fight.. Drago didn't walk into the ring intendin on killin Creed, it just happened.. Now if Drago went past the referee and kept punchin Creed then he could have been tried.. But there was no evidence he intended on killin Creed..
Well because its boxing, you can die from boxing of course
Even in martial arts you are allowed to break limbs if they don't tap out. you don't get arrested for break limbs in a martial arts fight if thats part of the rules to tap out
basically its the job of the boxer to stop or the coach to stop the fight... they did neither so the fight goes on...
That happens sometimes even in UFC fights IIRC, and they signed the papers and knew the dangers and risks involved and so if things like that happened and somebody gets seriously hurt or killed they can't sue or send the person that hurt them seriously or killed them to prison.
Because it’s a contact sport like MMA. You take a risk. Besides Rocky threw the towel too late to stop it. Now had he thrown it would Drago have stopped? Probably not but I think at that point you could have charged him w murder had Rock threw the towel in long time ago if Drago continued to pummel Apollo.
Well yes I remember that movie Rocky 4. What you are describing as a murder maybe in sports and in boxing if one person is killed during the fight then it is seen as an accidental death and hence he must have got away with that.
Because it wasn't murder, it was an accident and one that occurred due to the nature of the sport and by extension the consent that both parties gave in order to compete in that sport.
Because death is an accepted risk in boxing. Boxers die in the ring every year.
I have not seen any of the movies past Rocky 5 but I think because of the fact it took place during a boxing event and they can't call it murder because it was during the course of the fight
This has happened in real boxing matches, and the boxer is not charged because it was considered an accident in a legal sporting event.
It's boxing, and a movie.
Why is this question unnecessarily anonymous?
in america we love those who slay negroes
the crime rates drop by 2% each time a negro is depleted
1) it is fiction
2) Apollo didn't have to step in ring
3) It was an accident
Plus he was Russian and we all know Trump would have pardoned him.
