In Australia, a huge toad was found that claimed the title of world’s largest toad. The cane toad, dubbed “Toadzilla” by the Australian park rangers who discovered her, weighed in at 5.95 pounds (2.69 kg) — outweighing the previous 5.8 pound (2.63 kg) record holder. Cane toads were originally introduced to Australia to control the cane beetle population, but are now considered environmental pests and are euthanized when found.

I remember seeing a documentary on those toads a while back. Apparently predators are starting to build up resistance to their toxins so there's hope they'll be brought under control.

As for toadzilla, I think we're long overdue a giant toad horror movie.

I din't see why they have to kill them, unless they're beginning to be a huge problem to other animals or humans.

Toads/bullfrogs will eat whatever fits in their mouth. Those particular toads are very poisonous they kill crocodiles who eat them.
