Where do you think the next MLB franchise will be if there ever is one? ?

I'm pretty much thinking Nashville, Charlotte, or New Orleans. Maybe Las Vegas but they have LA and Anaheim close by as well as Phoenix

Good question. I’d maybe say Vegas, just because it’s a fast-growing area and they seem to be making a concerted effort to get professional teams there, with both the Oakland Raiders relocating there and giving them an expansion NHL franchise, despite the reasonable proximity to both LA and Phoenix, both of which have football and hockey teams already.

I could see those other places you mentioned getting a team too though. Nashville is growing a lot too, but I think they’re pretty well entrenched as Braves country from what I know. I feel like Charlotte might be too but I’m not sure. The advantage New Orleans would have is that it’s pretty isolated from the next closest baseball market (Rangers? Astros?), so I feel like there’s no built-in loyalty you’d have to pry people away from. Just a matter of if it’s baseball country or not.

Charlotte or Nashville would be my guesses. Large cities and large enough markets. Can sell lots of premium-priced seating as well, especially in heavily-banked Charlotte.

It would be a location and area that generates a lot of revenue, so Vegas may not be a far stretch. Nashville, Texas and other Midwest areas are filled with Triple A affiliates, but probably not high enough to form an actual team.

New York and California have the biggest markets, so I wouldn't be surprised with either of those getting another if it happened. Honestly, I would like to see another team based from the Midwest like Oklahoma or Indiana.
