So who is better than her?
The Olympics have sucked the last 30 years.
So why should anyone put up with the bullshit?
Someone who would actually compete would be better than her. She was past her time.

I was on sports teams, many of them. First place and middle of the pack. I’ve been pummeled in games and on fire with wins but humble. She should have stayed home in 2021 and let those who had it together mentally and physically qualified go as they would have been the best this year.
So it’s all about winning and second guessing again. That’s the reason I withdrew from college sports. The higher up it goes, the more the spirit of the games gets lost. But you’re entitled to your opinion though.

A GOAT knows their limits and when they could better hand over the opportunity to a teammate as opposed to pushing on despite knowing they may not perform best. Especially with the “twisties” thing in athletics, where you get disoriented.

Vaulting with a broken leg is stupid.
It’s amazing and she will always be remembered for it. There were other performances in past Olympics 25 years or more ago but this Kerri will always be remembered… and so will walking out in the team be remembered 25 years from now.
I mean she actually had a broken ankle but still if I was the coach I would not have allowed it. No disrespect to Kerri Strug though, who I see is supporting her fellow athlete.
She is legendary because of this. She lives he life just fine, not issue from having done it. We ask our soldiers to do much more.

There is a bit of truth in much of what you said, but she is still the GOAT by a long shot. As much as your clearly would like to take that way from her, you can't. She's not perfect, obviously, but she earned her GOAT designation and no one can take it.
She gave herself the GOAT name by sowing it on her uniform before the Olympics. I think this set her up for high pressure and she should have known she couldn’t take that. Goat name needs to be bestowed by the public, not yourself. Leaving a team in the middle of a gold medal round is not greatness. She never should have been there. She was unprepared. A World Cup mega star goalie would never walk off in the title round of the World Cup.
