Girls, Why do guys compete harder against girls than guys, do they fear losing to a girl more?

I’m in a self defense Martial arts class and it seems like the guys use extra force when fighting girls compared to guys, it’s annoying because they are already bigger

Guys don’t want to lose against girls. They’ll never hear the end of it from their guy mates “haha you lost to a girl”. Guys are their own worst enemies when it comes to their masculinity.
