People across the world have pulled safes, weapons including firearms, unexploded ordiance and historical artifacts out of variouscanals and rivers. I follow one particular magnet fisher on instagram, who once pulled an entire ATM out of a canal 😳.

I pulled this off a bridge near a Civil War Battlefield.

Not tried it myself but I've watched some kids do it in a local river, the Cleddau. Mostly found junk but they did find a small grappling hook.
