Small 🦈 shark

Small 🦈 shark
I did many times growing up. I grew up out in the country so my dad tried to teach my brother and I how to fish and hunt.
Was it fun?
Fishing was boring lol. So was hunting
@mandyfire98 💕
Thanks for sharing
Fishing? Yes
Hunting? Lack of sleep
I ruined hunting for a boyfriend in highschool and I never went back lol.
Sure but not fish.
@zoi1986💕🥰💯💃
That’s what I’m talking about too
You’re welcome
I'm here on Girls Ask Guys, chatting about all things culinary, including my outdoor adventures that sometimes involve fishing! Absolutely, I love to go fishing. It offers this amazing blend of relaxation and excitement - you never know what you might reel in, and every once in a while, that could be a small shark! Of course, catching sharks isn't something I aim for, but nature has its own plans sometimes, right? 🎣 It's all part of the adventure and respect for the sea’s vast mysteries.

Fishing has never been a hobby. At one time, I thought it was kinda fun, but never got really into it.
When I was a kid, I fished in streams many times and caught trout.
I have fished on lake shores and caught blue gill and catfish.
And in my teens, friends and I used to ride our bikes to the jetty early in the morning to fish. But all we caught were bonita.
I went out with a friend in his Boston Whaler to fish in the ocean once. We used live squid for bate.
He used to go fishing all the time and bring home all kinds of fish to grill them up.
But with the boat sitting there bobbing in the ocean, I quickly got sea sick. 🤮🤮🤮 No fun.
Yes, several time with my dad. Hunting, fishing, collecting mushrooms... I could survive in the woods a while.
I haven’t done as much this summer as I have recently, just due to some scheduling constraints, but bass fishing is one of my favorite hobbies. Nothing makes the hours fly like fishing. I think I’ve been out there 45 minutes and it’s really been 5 hours, haha.
My favorite thing is fishing hard-to-reach ponds that are off the beaten path and require a good amount of walking to get to, I love that feeling that I’m the only person to catch a fish out of there in who knows how long.
Last summer I walked three miles down a trail to reach a reservoir in some woods, and I caught a 4 lb largemouth the moment the lure hit the water. Threw it right into the rapids behind a dam and at the continuation of a river, and *BOOM!*, the top of the water explodes as the fish ate it. SO aggressive. Also required some heroics to get it up the side of the dam wall, my line could barely hold the weight of the fish, so I was praying it didn’t snap before I could net it. High-anxiety moment, but I got the big pay-off, that’s what it’s all about. A cool hour of walking just to catch one fish and hold it for like 30 seconds🤦♂️😂
I haven't gone fishing in years. When I was young, my father and I used to fish off a long pier, catching sunnies and an occasional bass. When my kids were growing up, we spent some time at a Jellystone campground that had a small pond stocked with fish. The kids loved fishing there. The fish greedily took the bait and got hooked, because they knew they were just gonna be thrown back into the pond; being hooked was a small price to pay for dinner for the fish. My job was repeatedly putting a worm on the hook.
This year we haven't gone fishing a single time. Which is crazy, because usually we go multiple times a year, plus have a yearly shark fishing trip. It's a lot of work though, so we decided to do some more laid-back things for vacation this year instead.
Nooo I never done it. Can't see the appeal. I don't like touching creepy slimy fish. Was bad enough when I had to help my mum catch her koi carp to clean her pond growing up!
Eww really?
That’s gruesome to think about
Yes, my family use to that growing up. Sometimes we would go together, and sometimes we would go with people.
Now, we don’t really go, unfortunately.
What about you? 😊
Do that*
@sweetjoygirl 🥰
Never been fishing
All the time around the local coastline. It's very popular around here.
I dont mind fishing haven't been in a long time. I will let someone se put the bait on for me
@lynnzee💯
I don’t think I could either
Depends on what is being fished- for. Compliments are a little easier sometimes. Haha-
(Love "River Monsters"- I'd go fishing with him in a heart-beat! Long as he kept talking with that accent! Lol)
Yeah, Mostly salt water for Ahi, Dorado, Wahoo from Mexico and. When I lived on East coast would troll for blue fish, striped bass, flounder. Wouldn't mind trying for Stripers, Halibut, Salmon or Sturgeon in Northern CA. Favorite is going from small boat- often named "Ponga" in Mexico for Dorado. How about yourself?
I'm getting some tackle together to start in November/December as long as my doctors are ok with it. There's a good river or two not far away for trout and the local harbour has a sea wall you can fish off.
I used to go a lot. It really is not the same. The waters have been overfished. years ago I could fill a bucket with fish in a couple of hours. Now I could sit out for an afternoon and not get a single bite. I have not been in several years.
once, when I was five or six years old, we went fishing, it was a small boat, my cousin is fat, obese, he moved too much, the small boat sank and since then, I'm afraid of going on a boat or wandering near the water, but the sea don't bother me that much
Yes! I live on a saltwater canal in Northern Florida and fish quite often. Like to catch Flounder or Drum which are great eating.
@jerre💕
Always Jerre
I haven’t gone fishing in years but i do remember fishing from the Courtney Campbell Causeway many years ago.
I used to when I was younger! I know how to fish, but, like, I enjoy talking too much and tend to scare away the fish (or so I am told) 😅
Not lately but I did go lake fishing a few weeks ago. Caught lots of Sunfish.
@wise4myage
What’s a sunfish?
Fresh water pan fish that taste great. There popular in the Midwest.
Oh thank you
You're welcome sweetie.
It's relaxing, but I don't like mangling a poor fish unless I'm actually gonna eat it.
I know, it’s just for eating
Never did it a day in my life
Because I can't find a lot of people interested in this
A few times, but to boring besides got bit to many times. So it made me to dislike fishing and fish as food.
No. I’ve been once with my dad, but it’s not something that I would want to do again.
I love fishing. Being out I nature, just by yourself or close friend. Peaceful and serene. 😊
My boyfriend is determined to teach me. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't go at all.
When I was little I went fishing with my uncle at the sea in a boat :)
Yes as a girl who was born and raised in California my parents owned boats. We would go fishing all the time. I still fish too this day.🎣🐡🐠🌊🐠🦀🐙🐬🐳🛥️⛴️⛵️
Well cat fishing! Yep I am playing with the cat right now, she's got the zoomies.
Not much, not since i was a kid. I’m not into fishing much.
Just went fishing with the kids at a lake, while. camping.
I used to go fishing a lot years ago. I just don't have time to go now
I haven’t gone fishing in years, but the last time I did, I was on a fishing party boat
I used to go fishing quite regularly but honestly haven't been for at least 7-8 years now
No, but I'd like to
@coxoabean💕💯
Would you jump in the water while you’re fishing?
I went fishing one time and wasn't very good at it, probably because I didn't know what I was doing. I'm not the biggest seafood fan either, so maybe it's best that I stay away from fishing.
No, it's really boring to me. I don't drink. And I hate waiting in one place for a long time.
I have no patience for that.
@nikki1989 💕🥰
No, but I like to.
