Is it weird that I now want Netherlands to win the WC if I'm Latina?

Even though I don't watch soccer and only see the results on google, I'm now rooting for the team that just eliminated my younger brother's country (he was born in FL). It's likely Argentina will beat Australia. I'm looking forward for Netherlands eliminating Argentina and making it to semi-final.

I feel they deserve a WC for the first time. It always seems when they're so close, something always happens.

Yes. As you have no soul, or shame. Hence are a disgrace to your colonised south American ancestors that the Dutch enslaved and colonised.

But then, Latino's do tend to have a "White worship" complex anyway.

History has noting to do with enjoying competitive, playful matches. I like whoever plays better and is a strong team, regardless of whether it's from a Latin country or elsewhere. I'm not one of those patriots that always thinks their country has the best team in the world just for the sake of it being from their country.

I had no access for a day. As to why I think Netherlands has a fair chance of winning the WC, here is why:
It's the way they played, they've been undefeated in 11 games for the WC according to their history and they're a strong team. In additon, there were couple times they came so close to winning the WC and something always happens such as in the WC final of 2010 (Netherlands vs Spain). Lastly, it's nice to see a good team that never won a WC to win it for the first time.

It's normal for people to root for their countries or for nearby countries. So I've never heard this.

However, you're free to support whatever team you like. It's not a big deal.

They are a perfectly balanced side, strong tall defenders and skillful attack. They showed how weak England were against the US.

Indeed. I already knew US didn't stand a chance with them. It would be great seeing Netherlands getting the WC for the first time.

if argentina beat australia , they will meet holland in quarter final , i feel it will be brutal match ,, tons of yellow cards , or even red cards
