Does anyone experience a correlation between swimming and picking up flu or illness?

A lot of people who visited my vacation hotel developed red spots on their leg. I saw it in other visitor's photos online and my mom had similar spots. My cousin says it sun burn but I believe it might be a shell fish allergy or ocean water allergy. Another reason I believe it's an allergy is that it does not hurt. I think an allergy is the only time your skin could look totally sick with no pain at all.

It's the humid changing rooms that's the problem. They're effectively incubators for disease.

If you don't properly dry off completely after getting out of the water. (Especially ears). And also, make sure you wear a hat when going outside afterwards.

I don’t think there is any correlation unless staying wet and going out into the cold. Other than that I’d say swimming is a great way to stay healthy.

A pool is the last place you can get sick. If you knew how high the concentration of chlorine has to be there's nothing that can get past that.

No. But if it's winter and cold and you leave the swimming pool without using hairdryer you can fetch a cold
