+1 yThat’s not boxing. It’s a spectacle, not a sport. There are phenomenal boxing matches on every few weeks. Unfortunately most people would rather watch a spectacle with names they know than watch the sweet science practiced by up and coming athletes or even low profile champions. That’s on the promoters for not selling the talent, and fans for not holding promoters accountable. You vote on what they promote with your wallet.

Boxing has not improved the science of punching in literally 120 years. The Isshinryu vertical fist punch hits a couple hundred pounds harder than a horizontal twist punch for the Jab and Cross punch. I don't know why they still use a horizontal twist punch in boxing.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yTbh at this point they should just allow low blows. No reason really it’s just the fights are getting boring so it would spice things up a bit and add an element of surprise 😂
On a side note I find college wrestling more entertaining or school wrestling at least in those sports we get to look at hot guys in spandex without cups so we get a little bit of a show still and some grappling plus if you know the people it’s fun. The greatest was having a boyfriend in the sport or crush and suddenly everything became really entertaining 😅10 Reply
+1 yBoxing has been the most corrupt rigged/fixed sport for over 100 years.

Yep but it's too ridiculous now it's not even a sport so scripted how can a clown like Logan Paul call out Canelo? I give up

Because promotors who are fronts for organised crime and legit powerful people, have figured out that these characters draw big money. So they manipulate things to ensure maximum profits are made.

Like Don King he completely ripped off Iron Mike
- +1 y
He ripped off a lot of people, former Columbo Mafia family Capo Michael Franzese recently gave some insight into dealings with Don King years ago. Check it out on YouTube

Nice one I will have a look
Boxing is very much alive as a sport/fighting style, I couldn't say when it comes to entertainment.

Back to watching bare Knuckle for me
- +1 y
It is illegal hence more honest
- +1 y
Bare knuckle is extremely dangerous. I saw an unsanctioned bare knuckle fight which was legal and held on the streets, and the winner punched the loser so hard in the eye that it crushed the orbital bones and exploded the guy's eyeball out of his skull. It was hanging by the nerve and blood vessel endings. it was way worse than any UFC eye explosion I've ever heard of.
- +1 y
@Wade12345 Yeah I know I have done it and got injured because of it so I know very well how dangerous it is. Hence why I was surprised to find it's on TV.
- +1 y
Bareknuckle isn’t illegal, it never was. There’s no law that states that you have to wear gloves. All that the law says is that the fight needs to be in a ring, with a referee, and a paramedic at ringside. It’s only illegal when the fight is fought in like a car park or on a field somewhere. That’s why it has become an official sport now, it all started when a lawyer in the UK who liked to fight went through UK law and figured it out, then helped to create a BKB organisation. Americans then did the same thing.
- +1 y
Yeah I like the farmers field variety
There are some good upcoming fights this year. Big ones too. This fight was... meh... I love boxing and for me it's the different style that do make the fights. The upcoming fights so far should be good to watch. Benevidez VS Plant and tank davis vs ryan garcia. I think this "celeberty boxing" is ruining it.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yit's all rigged every sport from boxing to football baseball basketball hockey soccer it's all been rigged
111 Reply- +1 y
To a degree yes but this is getting ridiculous
Opinion Owner+1 yit's heavily rigged they already know prior to each game or event who is going to win. take basketball for example the outcome was decided before the start of the game. during the first quarter the players actually play the game during the and the second quarter the players intentionally make mistakes and the third quarter the referee's take over same with the fourth quarter with bogus penalties and coaches with unnecessary timeouts and the amount of penalties are decided by which team is in the lead and who's supposed to win the game and/or enough to secure the lead to win the game or more penalties so the opposing team can catch up if they're suppose to win it's done in every sport
- +1 y
Sadly only too believable
Opinion Owner+1 yboxing for example refs call penalties and the judges ultimately decide who's going to win on the point system in place and they decide before each fight who's going to win and which round the opponent will take the fall and at what time in the round they'll take the fall and in what manner the opponent will fall
- +1 y
I know it's a joke
Opinion Owner+1 ythe end result in boxing is either a split decision with a rigged point system or a ko which was previously decided what round and what time in the round and by what type of punch.
Opinion Owner+1 ythe tricks and techniques of each rigged sporting event was recently exposed on tiktok by people who work for the teams or the broadcast commentators or an exec people inside the business exposing it
- +1 y
It's all bullshit as soon as any money can be made I'd rather watch honest amateurs
Opinion Owner+1 yeven then some amateurs aren't always honest especially when a big wig can give them a 5 year deal type contract with a few million each year
- +1 y
Yeah but the less of two evils nonetheless
Opinion Owner+1 ythere's an old saying with what you just said. even if you choose lesser of the two evils you still get evil you still end up with evil the absence of good
It's dead -- most people don't care. I couldn't name a single active boxer.

It is when clowns like Jake and Logan Paul get rankings so they can have a title shot and the silly bastards think they can call out real champions like Canelo
- +1 y
Ok... I have no idea who they are, but ok :)
- +1 y
I wish I had no idea who they were 😃
I question people who liked boxing in the first place or wrestling. Then diva's might be hot but I still would question anyone watching that over porn.

Do you think it is bad news for boxing if older retired boxers like Mike Tyson is still a bigger star than any active modern fighters today?
