How did you feel when something that was a huge part of your life comes to an end?

I had to let this process for a few days before speakin on it.

But after losing the other day. It hit me hard.

I knew i wasn't going to ever suit up again. I wasn't going to step on the court on this level ever again.

I got back to the locker room, and i looked at my clothes in my locker and it all hit me. I broke down and cried so hard. I can't believe it. My basketball career is over.

I will never be a player again. I didn't get my national title, i didn't get to have a 3peat as conference champs.

I didn't know it was going to hurt so hard when this day came.

Wow! I’m so sorry! I honestly don’t know that I have ever worked so hard to get wheat I wanted like you did. And I can’t imagine the pain in that closing. However like you said that is the end at that level. I have no doubt you will play plenty more on other levels and though your wins may not be as big or as noticed… they will still be wins! The closing of chapters in my life have either been good ones or so bad that I blocked them off as negatives that I didn’t need to count. So I can only say that you as a player are so much greater than any title will ever give you and as a person are far beyond any level game. You will do awesome things and you will smack the asses of all those who got in your way same as every other game you have played so far!

Yeah , look its a great feeling of loss , I had exactly the same thing with golf , and the admission ( to myself ) that I was never going to achieve what I hoped for , no matter how hard I worked , an admission that I wasn't good enough.

It was a very empty feeling and extremely hard to come to grips with , so what helped me was doing simple things that I never would have been able to do on the amateur tour , these simple things really helped me , and life was never going to be the same.

Honestly I feel sad, experiences and let out the emotions but life goes on and I know for me that I will find new things and I honestly like and appreciate change, for me personally it's good that not everything is forever.

I'm a MAN so I roll with the punches, if it doesn't go as planned gonna find a new way. It's not like you can't ever become a coach one day and lead others to victory. So nothing is really over, you can also still play in competitive ball tourneys with others Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, and sometimes life gets fucked up. Your book is still being written regardless and your just moving into a new chapter in life so let the page turn.

The answer to your question is, in one word, "crushed."

Yes, I had something come crashing to an undignified end. As important to me as it sounds like your ball was to you. It took literally years to return to world where I once did that. One step at a time. And it still hurts. But you move on. The alternative is worse.

Human stupidity set aside, nothing lasts forever. This being said, when something or someone important to me comes to an end or dies, there's a natural period of mourning. After that period life just continues, and the remaining memories will enrich a little the understanding of how our world functions.

I'm fighting the same battle now. I'm looking at giving up farming (my life dream).

I'm going bankrupt trying to keep it going and I am making more money working at factory than farming

After I got my second Masters degree I realized that my days as a student were over. Oddly enough it really was a little sad.
