He was great, but realistically a trained guy of that size would have been hard for him to handle. The late Joe Lewis (the kickboxer) used to train with Bruce and said Bruce was the greatest martial artist he had ever seen, but when asked if he could beat Bruce he sort of laughed because he did defeat Bruce often while sparring. Not because Joe was better, but because he was highly trained and had 60 lbs. and reach on Bruce.

That said, Bruce at his peak would defeat the fraud Steven Siegal, who is about the size you referenced.

Depends if the bigger guy has training.

Being big is nothing, I mean, obviously it gives you power, power is important. But being some big lump who can't move is not that useful. I'm 70kg and my cousin is probably twice as strong as me, a builder. But I'm fairly confident I could take him out cause I'm probably 3 times as quick, and can generate a magnitude of striking power. I'm just better connected to my body and can move a lot more efficiently.

See, you have to differentiate between 'real life' which is going to be over within a few seconds. And sports fighting, in a ring, what have you. The smaller guy has no chance because he can't withstand that force for long periods.

And always, if the guy is bigger and trained he's likely always gonna win. Same applies to wrestling. My old instructor always used to say it's technique with wrestling. Bollocks. He could say that, he was 6ft 3 and over 100kgs.

To be honest, I've never seen Bruce Lee have a real fight except for him beating up 100 mem in movies
I don't know why, but I can't just consider someone a great fighter if they never fought officially
People who think he can take on Mike Tyson are purely delusional

I guess you've seen Connor McGregor vs the Mountain? Mountain has no fighting knowledge but still he is too big and strong for Connor who is a world class fighter

I’ve seen a huge bodybuilder get into the ring with a smaller fighter.


The bodybuilder got his ass handed to him.


Skills go a long way.


But, if they’re equally as skilled, of course the bigger guy would win.

Also, growing up, I’ve gotten into multiple school fights and have only lost once. All of my opponents were bigger and taller though — every time.

It depends, bruce lee was an exceptional man, with long training behind him and a marked gift in fighting, I could tell you yes, if the boy was not trained or was less trained than him, bruce could win, otherwise if they had the same degree of training, the older boy would win.
