Caitlin Clark sold out Washington DC's Arena. Over 20,000 people showed up to watch her team play against a winless Washington WNBA franchise. Usually the Washington WNBA franchise plays in an arena with only 4500 seats. Because Caitlin Clark was coming to DC they sold out what is the Wizards Arena. There are over 20,000 seats they are all showing up for Caitlin Clark.

It's boring to watch because the skill level isn't even CLOSE to NBA players. There are almost no dunks, no 7ft dudes pushing people around, no flashy handles or passing, just fairly average plays you might see in a boys high school game. Arguably, by boys who would beat them in a matchup.

The rules may not allow her to be offered more money this year. However, rather than lose their cash cow, they would probably put a stop to the abuse by laying down the law to the referees. That is, either they start calling flagrant fowls, especially intentional fouls that might result in an injury, and technical fouls for taunting or they can look for another job.

Am I missing the irony? Getting rich and famous by playing women basketball in Europe? 😮 I don’t think so. Germany‘s tier one male players make ~60.000€ / year typically. Most tier one female players can’t even live from their sport income alone.

Yes because the WNBA doesn't pay either. He tens of millions comes from endorsements. She could receive them in Europe and not have to put up with all the hate from other players, and refs.

Well a lot of them (mostly women) could drive her to do that. I do think though she Gina tough it out and show the women why she is the GOAT. Women of the WNBA should embrace her, and be happy that she making the WNBA more popular, having nice hotels and charter planes now. Also she paving the way for young girls to play basketball. I honestly just feel just cause she is white in a mainly black sport she is getting all this hate.

Caitlin just wants to play in WNBA , She has many options. I think her being straight and being from Iowa , along with her rep coming in was the problem. Also players are jealous of her. I hope she comes back from injury and does not get the injury bug again. So many great players in sports never reover from bad injuries. Bo Jackson was one. Kal Daniels was one. Don Mattingly was one. It might be better for Caitlin to play all year in two leagues.

Caitlin Clark was not qualified to play on Team USA. Brittney Griner who has played in only two games in the 2024 WNBA season was qualified. However, she was convicted of drug use, she is a lesbian, and she took a knee during the National Anthem. Those are the things that make her very qualified to play on Team USA.
