What do you think of Powerslap competition?

Dana White has created a new sport called Powerslap. It is exactly what it sounds like. Two people slap each other across the face. He says it will be bigger than MMA. I think after I watched two people slapping each other a couple of times that would be it for me.

Nobody has been able to get Americans to watch soccer and there is a lot of big money behind it. I just do not see the attraction after you watched a couple of guys get their brains scrambled a few times.

I agree with you that I don't particularly want to watch guys get their brains scrambled, which is one of the reasons I don't watch boxing or UFC. However the US Soccer Federation earned $179,754,654 in 2023 and that's not including how much each individual team made… so somebody's watching it! Not me, but somebody! Now, women's soccer? Yeah nobody's watching that! Those ladies regularly beaten by under 15 boys teams. I mean the first time, I'm willing to believe that the women let the boys win. But it was such a humiliating loss. The second time they were definitely trying to win and still lost! But then again, I'm just not a "sports ball" kind of girl.

really? I guess nothing is original. In basic training we used to play a game called the dozens. You had to punch somebody in the arm. I sort of forget what the purpose of it was.

Wow, Powerslap definitely sounds intense! While it's certainly a spectacle, I can't see it surpassing MMA's skill and strategy levels. For me, the appeal wears off quickly after a few slaps. I much prefer sports requiring precision and strategy, like tennis, where every move matters.

I think it’s absolutely horrible. A good way to get brain damage. Everybody knows that they can slap you with the heel of your palm at least in boxing. You have a chance to protect yourself and to cover up. This is a good way to get yourself punch drunk pretty quickly and the money is really low. They have a new sport now that I saw on TV called pillow fighting. I think it’s really funny and you actually get paid and you can make some money off of it.

Thats ganna effect those athletes when they get old. At least boxer try to avoid getting hit, but in slapping sport you lean into getting hit constantly. Definitely concussion concerns and the long term effects
