There's been a lot of backlash on social media from the usual suspects but what's your opinion?

"Banda was born in Lusaka, the Zambian capital. She began playing football around the age of seven playing on the streets. Banda was inspired by her father who played football and would encourage her to practise. She played with boys as the academy she attended did not have a girls team."

Thoughts:
There's a major crisis of confidence in knowledge & in education, perhaps planet-wide? I don't really understand the causes, or if this crisis is a new thing at all, but the consequences are many, since this crisis is easily exploitable by political leaders.
Without having a link to the article you are referencing, either you or they are confused.
There's a difference between whether the person is male or female, and a SEPARATE difference between whether they are a woman taking male steroids for competitive advantage. A person could be 100% female, but still be disqualified for taking male hormones - which many female athletes have done as a performance enhancer without having any desire to be a man. This kind of performance enhancement is banned by most leagues, like most other artificial performance enhancers, but that doesn't have anything to do with gender.
Someone is conflating the two, either out of ignorance or out of pushing a political agenda. And if it's the latter, it's a really stupid tactic, because there are FAR better examples that can be made.
As a guy it's hard. I had a "women" hit on me at work a few weeks ago. She looked like a woman but there was something in mind that said she might be a man. After she paid for her groceries and left I asked my colleagues. Two of my colleagues said they thought she was a woman and two thought she was actually a man. I never went on a date with "her".
Well we saw that male in Olympic boxing beat up all those women.

Registered female a birth doesn't mean that much. I'm pretty sure that Olympic boxer from Algeria was registered female at birth. But when tested for eligibility in other professional leagues it came to light the boxer had XY chromosomes. So male. Together with a birth deformity, this means a male can present as female. But the genetic sex is still male. THAT is what defines which league someone is eligible to play in typically--NOT how the person chooses to identify or live his or her life.
Not familiar with the Banda case, but I'd suggest a similar resolution. Test the chromosomes. If there's a Y the person should be ineligible for competition in women's sports. Keep it simple and objective.
"Been awarded BBC women footballer of the year." Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! 🤡 🌎
I'm sure big black cock woman has the balls to handle it.
Plenty of Gattoy here in Soccer teams... not sure if any win player of the year ,

It's a non-argument as she is a female, though one that looks like a male.
So a reverse tomboy if you will.
y'all assholes will tell any dirty fucking lie, won't you? Go fuck yourself.
So do you like share that logon ID with the others as I noticed inconsistent quality in your trolling. Right now it seems lackluster and low effort.

The right wing press are a collection of idiots. Start with that.
If the chromosome say female then she is female….
Supposedly they moved away from such testing 25 years ago to hormone testing. I don’t know much about it but they say having XX and XY isn’t good enough as some people have different hormones. I think you must be XX for women’s sports or you are in the CY league. Some women have higher testosterone but that is just a natural advantage as is being tall for women’s basketball. But being tall is bad for gymnastics so people have different advantages.
@goaded "I'm the "more speech" nobody likes. Try to mislead people, I'll respond."
The irony of this ^ in your profile is fucking hilarious. :)
