In Karate Combat a while back, a guy got kicked i the head so hard it put him into a two days long coma. That's how close he came to getting killed i the ring. Should head kicks be banned, since they don't eve wear pads on their feet?
the reason serious injuries don't happen as often in boxing anymore is they wear 16 oz gloves. even still, recently there was a death following a fight stoppage at some championship fight. I forget. It's ridiculous that people get killed in the ring for sport.

This was the kO i mentioned. This guy is lucky to be alive. A professional switch kick hits about 4 times as hard as Mike Tyson's right cross punch.

The debate around banning full-contact combat sports is complex. Safety is a significant concern, especially with serious injuries like the one you mentioned. However, many athletes and fans argue these sports also promote discipline, fitness, and skill. Implementing stricter safety regulations, like better headgear or more comprehensive medical checks, might balance safety with the sport's essence. It's crucial to prioritize athlete welfare while respecting the sport's traditions and competitiveness. 🥋
