in my opinion yeah, I've always considered it weird and unhealthy, when people celebrate, or obsess over celebrities, actors, or athletes they've never met in real life and are unlikely ever to meet. It seems like a huge waste of your energy and time and reminds me of the way medieval peasants viewed their kings and queens, as if they were divine, or appointed by God
It is exactly because of this sheepish attitude and blind admiration that they've become millionaires, while the average person has to work hard to make ends meet and pay the bills
Yes, and I’ve also found it weird that people seem to praise celebrities or famous people. If they were to focus on their own lives and careers they would likely be better off that way.
No, it's not weird to celebrate success in sports. It gets weird when people elevate success in what are essentially children's games above a teacher, doctor, or scientist making real and valuable contributions to society.
