This used to be something frowned upon, and now these greedy pro leagues partner with all these sites. Most of the people making these bets are idiots. Only 3-5% of sports betters are profitable in the long-run. Sounds like some pretty BAD odds to me.

It isn't ruining the sports, just the sports media. I don't care if my favorite teams can cover the spread; I just want them to win. And parlays seem like the Rube-Goldberg of betting. Having watched Mythbusters try to do these contraptions I know how easy it is for them to fail.

I used to gamble at horse race tracks once or twice a decade and it was a terrible experience. Unless you have invested months, years or even decades into researching the race, you are almost guaranteed a net loss when you gamble on the races, and even if you know what you are doing, there are multiple horses, so over 90% will lose on their bets since there could be 10 horses people are betting on and only one of those horses will win.

horse racing is one of the worst things to be on. Very high house edge. I’ve only done it a relatively small number of times in my life, but I think I more or less broke even. I would be up if I wasn’t talked out of a long shot that I had a real gut feeling on a long time ago.
