No. Actually, cheerleaders were originally men, back in the early 1900s, or maybe it was even the late 1800s, I’m not totally sure. Women weren’t even allowed to be cheerleaders for many years. The transition to it being more female-heavy is relatively recent, like in the past 80-100 years.

Also, in American college football, male cheerleaders are standard. One of my college buddies was on the cheerleading team….. and my football friends would be trying to recruit him into THEIR team, he was big and jacked💪 And contrary to popular belief, he was heterosexual…. making him one of the smartest guys on campus🤣 Make all the jokes you want, he’s first in line for all the female cheerleaders, lmfao.

I have never understood the whole cheerleader thing period. Why do girls want to be a fashion accessory to boy's sports teams? Why would a guy want to lift girls in short skirts. Oh wait... I get that one. Ass cheeks and camel toe. Makes perfect sense.

Not at all. Male cheerleaders have been around, especially in college for years. But they generally don't get involved in the fancy choreographed dance routines the female cheerleaders do.

I'd really prefer leaving the dancing to the females and have the males lead cheers and support the females when they do their aerobatics.

Not so much shocked but it does seem... maladroit. The pic you chose illustrates that perfectly. It does make sense in terms of tossing/catching girls and holding them up but not like in the pic.

Not at all. Many Universities have male cheerleaders. Some are ex football players. They are the ones doing the tosses.
