It's dirty fighting. It's a clear signal to the other person that this isn't just a fight that ends with a black eye and a couple of bruises, it's kill or be killed. The thing is while getting kicked in the nuts hurts a lot, when your adrenaline is pumping you can push through the pain. So once you open that door, don't be surprised if they break your fingers, pull one of your eyeballs out of your skull, or smash you skull repeatedly into a concrete curb until you are a toothless hobo. There's a fight... and then there's a fight... If you up the tempo, you can't turn it back down.

In real fight for life and death is fairness counter productive, however I think in such fight it's better to focus on more sensitive places like neck and throat, a good hit there and it's game over for your opponent while groin kicks are just painful.
Ergo. If I was a man I would always risk to receive a groin kick for a hit on someone throat that collapses Trachea and causes terminal suffocation.
