Yes they can if you are using their provided Gmail account or using their Wifi or connected to server by their Internet service. Google grants them extra privileges if you use their provided account. If you are talking about using their wifi then its pretty scary cuz you may not know but they can very easily track your packets exchange with server

You can do that but like I mentioned if you are using Goggle education account provided by your school, then your school reserve the right to check your traffic status. Which in another words your browsing history saved by goggle servers and I don't think its possible to clear that one even you del your account.
What you can do is "Watch porn with ton of other browsing". Schools usually have websites assigned to the system which it collects and share their number (Visited by user) to the IT guy cuz its impossible to watch every student 24/7 but their system automatically detect the sites ans the student with highest number of blocked site is usually called to principal office. So you can fake the system by watching porn with ton of other browsing or How you call it in chemistry?
Dilute the porn with browsing solvent and negate the reporting system.

I don't know what a gsuite account is, but if you were using your own device and you own wifi (assuming you mean the Internet available through your phone's network provider) then no, the school would not have been able to monitor that. Your friend is right to think the school records your internet activity when you browse using their network, but "by video"? I doubt that. At most they've got log files that list the sites you've visited. The whole thing depends on what a gsuite account is since you said you "browsed on" it. Don't know what that means.

That makes it quite clear then that all internet activity is monitored whilst using your gsuite account during school hours. If they have a reason to look at your Internet activity such as if they have special filters that flag certain keywords/URLs, then yes they might discover what you've visited. But the reality is that it'll probably go unnoticed and you'll be fine. Many people accidentally click on things that are illegal, for example shortened links that hide the URL that they lead to, and those people don't get into trouble.
On reading it a second time, the quote could just mean that they can see all your actions done via any of the Google education apps, but since your browser is not part of those apps, it is not monitored by your school (unless of course you're on their Internet network which you were not). If you accessed the site that you shouldn't have using one of the Google apps, then your school may have been able to see it using the gsuite admin tools. Otherwise they probably know nothing. However, who could've monitored the site you visited? Whoever provides you the Internet that you were using is who. But still, most likely you'll be fine.

Yes he is correct as every computer, laptop, tablet, phone that accesses the internet using any browser, the browser keeps a record of the history of where you visited on the internet.
The only way to delete this history is to make sure you clean out that history file on a timely basis and as well as that history file gets bigger it can have an affect on the computers performance.

What do you mean your own WiFi? If you are using WiFi at school, then you are connecting to their WiFi. All WiFi is doing is connecting you to one of their servers. Everything you do through that connection goes through their server.
When you use WiFi at school or anywhere else, you are not connecting to the internet. You are connecting to a local server owned by the school, the coffee shop, or whatever. The server is what connects to the internet. Everything you do passes through that server, to the internet, then back to you. When you connect to the server, you can't even access the internet unless the server has an internet connection and allows you use it.
I am certain that it would be trivial to record all of the internet addresses that you visited, and they probably do. I doubt that anyone will look, unless a crime is committed and the police investigate.
At the same time, I encourage you to be much more careful in the future. Contribute to Fight For the Future, an organization working to protect us from politicians using the internet to spy on us.

If you use a a school computer, then you are on their network, which is in turn sent to the internet through a server. Servers normally record a log of all traffic sent and received for the purpose of ensuring that the server is working efficiently.
Is it legal to spy on you? Absolutely. The school is in "loco parentis" and, not only *can* spy on you, it *could* be considered derelict for failing to "protect" you by failing to do so. You'll probably remember that your locker can be searched also despite laws against "illegal search and seizure." Basically, you have no real rights in school - enjoy!
Also, if you're using your own WiFi on school grounds, that WiFi is probably located on school grounds, and therefore subject to their rules.
The only "safety" you have is when using your 4G, and don't forget that that can be, and sometimes is, intercepted by the police without any need for a warrant.

First the URL, the internet ADDRESS, and the "www. someplace. com" are all interchangeable terms. They mean the same thing.
If you're at home, and using your home WiFi, the school only has access to those items you access WHILE using the school account. Theoretically, assuming they're playing by the rules, you could/should not be able to access your normal use of YOUR computer, using YOUR WiFi, and YOUR internet account.
Always remember however, that your internet service provider (ISP) maintains a constant, complete record of all the internet sites you visit.

They wouldn't need your browser history, and deleting it wouldn't make any difference. The safest thing (well, without a full-on security upgrade) is to completely log out of whatever account the school has set up, and log on with a different browser - install Chrome or the 360 secure browser or opera, and use their security features, like anonymous browsing and incognito features.

The problem is that IF you were using an account provided by the school WHILE you were browsing for porn, then they could see anything you were doing. That doesn't mean that they WERE monitoring you, just that they COULD monitor you.
Now the fact that you could access a porn site leads me to believe that they were NOT monitoring you, because they could just as easily blocked your access to the website.
There are companies who maintain lists of all the porn sites, and your school could use that list to deny you access, but they didn't, so they're probably not monitoring you.
I could access it because I wasn't connected to the schools network. Im just worried that they will look at my search history one day.. I dont want them to have the ability to see. They dont have the time to go through everyones internet activity. Maybe they could see in the log what the url you visited was, if they check the logs. Otherwise you might get a funny look or two from the computer admin guy, but thats probably it. Unless its something that is illegal - and stigmatised in the mainstream. Still its only if they use a programme that flags it and if they can be bothered to go through it.
they don't do it by video that's for sure but if you are on a school account it is very possible that they can see the account activity... the question becomes why would they have reason to look into your activity. unless they have reason to look into the activity or the site you went to was flagged then i imagine it won't raise any red flags
They can, but they would have to look for it, which they probably won't be bothered to do. But yes it's possible for them to see what you've been doing on there.

Both the server host (the school in this case) and rhe network provider (EX: Cogeco) can see your total broswing history, even on incognito mode.

Typically certain sites are flagged by the network administrator. If such a site is accessed it will immediately create a report w/ the computers IP address, location, and current user.

Don't you have to sign in? Your username is associated with your Internet activity.
If you were at home on your own device, you shouldn't have a problem. If you were logged into a school's Google account, they may be able to see searches done on Google or YouTube, but it doesn't quite sound like that's the situation.

this answer is incorrect. if you are connected to the school network, your internet traffic is most likely passed through a school proxy, and it is entirely possible it logs every single URL

Yes a good network admin will monitor site traffic. But if you are on your phone and your cell network, they can't.

This gsuite, is it some school software used for something specific?
Yes its used to go on your gmail (for when teachers set you homework, googlr docs, google classroom, google slides, basically all google apps.
Well essentially anything in that particular software may be monitored, but it would be a violation of personal privacy if they were monitoring your activity outside of that software.
The only thing they could really get you on would be that you had an email in your mailbox that you opened that was inappropriate, but you could claim it was spam.
If you open a link in an email and it opens an external browser window... they would be breaking privacy laws to track that outside of the school.
