Are apple iPod touches still common to use in 2020? And what apps are good for one?

Its been a long time since i saw someone use a separate mp3 player.
But i don't see any reason why not use one, it definetly (should have) has a longer battery life.
So maybe if you got an android phone and still want to use your iTunes libary you can pick an iPod up as a cheap alternative to the iPhone.
The question is rather, why do people still buy Apple products at all?
I bought an apple product out of curiosity since i have had android since i was 13 but yeah i think maybe because it's popular?
Yeah, and I don't get why. I get why it used to be popular because it used to be the most innovative brand on the market for quite a while. But now it's shit. It's WAAAY overpriced, they're creating products for rich people only, it's an elite brand. Other brands release products as great for much lower prices. And then there's the thing that you need to buy special adapters and chargers and what not for Apple products while all other brands use the same ones. And then the ridiculous thing with the new headphones. You need an adapter, and you can't listen to music while charging your phone. Seriously? Oh, and iTunes is a shit program.
