Russia notoriously prefers to let people get as dirty as they want but then record it all. This makes it easy to blackmail people who have done wrong and easy to claim that dirt can be fabricated if someone hasn't done anything wrong. Russia's most potent weapon has always been threats. They don't have to fire a single shot if they get an opponent believing they have billions of bullets ready to fire. If the opponent concedes and it turns out they didn't even have the one bullet, that's considered a bigger (cheaper) success than actually having the billion bullets. This is ultimately how the reactor at Chernobyl blew up: more pride in the success of lies and appearances than in doing things right according to the impartial standard of reality.

I've seen VK and any pedophiles exposed there, they are viscously attacked by millions of users.
The odds of pedos having any success on VK is slim to none.
Facebook on the other had openly supports pedophilia, aids it and promotes it and anybody who criticizes it is instantly banned.

Well that is terrible but facebook is much worse, they do not hide their support for such things plus they also have DM.
I would say VK maybe minding their own business as it were and allow their better users to attack the pedophiles when they are revealed.
Where facebook attacks the people who are apposed to the sickness.
I have seen many people from facebook get suspended for complaining about promotion of pedophilia.

I would say then that is better to police the platforms rather than the users. If you try too hard to stop the predators they will find darker ways and less likely to be caught.
In the case of facebook, the predators own the platform to enable their cohorts.
