I can’t delete snap, because I have years of pictures on there. 🤣🤣🤣
What about you? Have you ever had the urge before? 🤔
I’d like to, if I didn’t have family all over it. If I delete it. I’d have family and friends asking were tf I gone… so in that case I’d want to keep the accounts and just delete the apps. But then again some people that contact me only through there will be missing me.
Also I have a second persona (and that would be my artistic one) that I separate for my art. So basically I’d have a second IG, a second Facebook and such.
Thats why my username is EMYYWOLF.
My DeviantArt is EmyyWolf.
My YouTube is EmyyWolf.
Thats for privacy reasons , and to say and post whatever I want without my family getting in the way. Another thing , I tend to utilize tools such as Instagram and other forms of social media to stalk and research some of the people I come across. If I’m dating someone and whatever else. Because any boss I have will be able to look me up, then I should be able to look them up as well.
Just the other day, an EX-Boss of mine added me on Facebook out of nowhere lol. Now my coworker and I were looking through all his stuff and making fun of him.
XD
Use social media, don’t let it use you. And if you need to take month-breaks and delete everything for a month. And then come back for a month. Take care of you first.
Yes, couple times actually. But I just stop caring at some point, before I used to post stuffs I think others would think cool and it felt like I had no control over my social media anymore it's like I'm just trying to look pleasing for other people instead of being real but now idgaf 😂
I believe impulses to delete accounts are due to certain people's erratic nature and lack of commitment. I wouldn't marry someone like that, because I'd be afraid that they might get divorced one day on a whim.
Please don't take this personally. 💚
@JoyGirl I know! 😂. We're just friends. ☺️
Thanks for the MHO. :)
Yes, last year I did delete my instagram, and I was out of it for 6 months

I did before and during quarantine. I wish I could give away my phone and just use one of those old nokias to make important calls only, but I can't cuz I get all my uni and important stuff info through my phone when I'm out.
I hate smartphones tbh, people all the time using that thing, they can't even watch a movie, be in class, eat or go to the bathroom without checking it, I wish we all used old nokias, since most people doesn't seems to be able to control their urge to check social media and take a hundred selfies and photos of food.
Yes. Absolutely. Had to delete my account from Reddit, but my sister and I. Dealing with trolls, bullies and just losers all day was just too overwhelming! I'm glad there were some people who were nice and supportive of me, regarding my situation, but it just got too much to bear 😩 I just use TikTok to look at videos and occasionally post. I use Instagram to post my outfits and barely use Facebook. Don't use Twitter, although I have an account and haven't used it in years. Deleted my Snap a long time ago.
I think that having too many social media accounts can and does have an affect on you emotional and mentally. Its just not healthy for us to be on our devices like this. We have loves to live and things to take care of ❤ We are more important than some of those dumb, cliché influencers that we follow and the sad and tragic things that we see and experienced.
I deleted my Facebook account about 3 years ago, I just woke up one day looked at my feed and it was so bloody depressing and I'd had enough of being told about all the bad in the world, and to this day I still don't have my Facebook at it is honestly the best thing I've done.
Yes, I've deactivated accounts for periods of time before, and I've really limited my time on them within the past few years. I keep them as an easy way for people to contact me/for me to contact them if needed, because it's nice to be able to look up business pages and such on them, and because I also have years of posts and photos on them (I've downloaded and backed up all of the photos).
Oh, lots of times!
Have even deleted too!
No one out of my friends and family knows about my social accounts, even the new ones.
Each and every account is protected by disposable email accounts too. That too with fake names.
So unless anyone works at ISPs or anyone is working at a particular website and takes special interest in my account for I. P., I am good!
Yes I have before. Not a lot of people realize but social media is and addiction and can cause unhappiness like my self. I found peace in times at my worse when I’d delete them not knowing what others in this world are doing preventing me from comparing my life to theirs.
Just take time away and get another routine like working out or walking 10,000 steps a day down by the lake or beach (if you're near the coast). Start cooking at home and drinking more water. You'd be surprised how much of your day all these things takes up. But you can do this for like a month and then come back to Social Media. Life is about BALANCE.
I already did - a few months ago with Fascistbook and a little more than a month ago with Instagram. I've never used TikTok, WhatsApp and Snapchat and I never will. I'm only using social media where freedom of speech and of personal opinion is exactly that. That's why RN I have only profiles on Atheist Social Network and Twitter. If some day Twitter becomes a tyrannical media like Fascistbook, I'll delete my account there too.
I have Facebook but I rarely use it. I have Instagram but I dont share picturesI deleted Snap in 2015. badoo was deleted in 2013. I don't use Turkish gag because there are so many idiots out there. I have second university groups on WhatsApp and on telegram. whenever i finish university then i will delete them too.
Yeaah and I did delete all of them, installed insta again tho after few months. But I have never used it the same way again.
But going to delete it soon again, just waiting for an answer form this woman I'm trying to befriend lol
I ghosted all my friends from church and avoided using Facebook for around 3 years cause I felt fake and I’m not sure why and I also felt I was getting too much attention which was another reason I wanted to hide.
All the time. Sometimes you just need to be "offline" and distance yourself from everything
I often think of this but I love seeing how my friends are doing and how they’re succeeding in life.
I did for a little over a year.
Cut off my cell phone too (had straight talk at the time)
I often go incognito when I'm trying to recenter myself.
But i haven't done it since i was 22 or 23.
I do not have a social media
I was around when facebook first came out
and after some time I could see
it was gonna lead to bad things
so I do not use it really or post pictures
and now they are asking for my phone number
THEY ARE INSANE LOL
im not giving them shit
why are you laughing women
exactly
I never give it
ill use another app
Yes, I did 1 year ago. This is the only app that remains. It was a great decision. My mental health has improved so much. Tiktok is the worst of the social media apps.
I deleted Facebook lol but logged back in after realizing my family members sucks at responding to texts or calling back. It seems like they respond back faster on Facebook.
I always have the urge to delete all social media and just disappear from the public eye, but then I decide against it because I’ll have no way to contact my family overseas or my friends
Farewell To Facebook four year ago I said & four years later thinking about it the right decision was made & there is more to life than a status update & a few likes.
I can't. My livelihood depends on social media. Besides, I am conducting my racial/cultural discussions on facebook.
Can't turn back now. I think I will be doing this for the rest of my life.
Yes several times. I refuse to use tik-tok or watch anything related to it. Every person on tik-tok deserves an upper decker, reverse kanga, Cleveland steamer & warm Carl pulled on them daily.
