Too late for me, censorship twitter is too far gone. Nothing can be done to ever make me think it is a free speech platform ever again.

Like you said though, it was Ironic Trump got banned when at the same time they were allowing child porn all over it. Sure they've worked to clean that up, but I saw that as a much bigger priority.

I don't personally agree with his, or many other people's, opinions on Elon Musk "transforming" Twitter, no. I don't even use it, but from what I know, I think it's fine as it is.

However, if the deal goes through, and he makes changes, then that would be his right to do so, too. If people like the changes, Twitter will grow, and if they don't, then it won't. He'll either help the platform, or destroy it, but if he owns it, that's his decision.

Just as people currently say, "You agree to the TOS when you sign up, so you don't have to use it," that will still apply afterwards, too. People will either continue to use it, or stop, and good or bad, the ultimate success or failure would be up to him. 🤷‍♂️

People should have the right to express their views as long as they are not insulting anyone on the basis of race/religion.

Free speech promotes a healthy ground for the discussion of various topics and it should be encouraged, in fact. I hold some strong unpopular opinions which most people in my country do not like.

I don’t have Twitter so I’m not sure if it’s overly moderated.

Twitter is already a cesspool. That'd be like trying to purge Washington DC of all the corrupt politicians in it. This is assuming Elon Musk is even "on our side," which I seriously doubt. He's just good at PR, which most billionaires don't care about. No one who isn't famous should even be on Twitter.

I agree with it but i think too many are hypocritical. The same people who are for freedom of speech are against cancel culture just because it is not a conservative. If twitter was run by radical conservatives ( like another (green) version of Twitter which is run by conservative people ) these people would not even critizise the cancel culture.

The last time I was on twitter (2 years ago) i have seen a group of guys complaining about women not being submissive and they said that women whose mum's are single mums are trash aka not dateable. I did not think twitter is that leftist but this was 2-3 years ago
