Word has it he spends too much time on Twitter because he is addicted to it.
Both Tesla and SpaceX are doing amazing, ground-breaking things and are years ahead of their competition and still increasing the distance. Both companies are wildly profitable and have virtually certain profits going out at least 10 years.
Those companies have plenty of breathing room for Elon to step away for 20 hours a week. The people complaining are the people who don't like that Elon bought Twitter, and were certain that Twitter would crash once Elon dumped 80% of the workforce - but it turns out that Twitter didn't actually need thousands of people who went in work to attend 2 zoom meetings and then spend the rest of the day eating and playing on the company dime. Twitter has rolled out more improvements in the last 4 months than it did the entire decade before that, with a fraction of the staff.

I wish he would concentrate on Tesla, and Space X, two of his largest undertakings. I bought Tesla, and love the vehicle, and wish he would stick with what he knows best, Science, technology, space exploration etc and not involve himself in Politics.
My comments are for your edification only, Coach. Closing it to outside replies
He's a brilliant man, so in theory I don't think he could do any worse of a job. But he in theory could keep to doing what he is already good at, which is expanding our understanding into this universe and continuing to find a better way to deal with the changes we face.
But why not? He can afford it, as I said, he won't do any worse.

How so? He clearly hasn’t given it any real attention. I’m still convinced he bought that shit to deliberately run it into the ground.

I thought Elon Musk was at least semi-competent at marketing and that Twitter could help him in this regard. Twitter would never be a business that would make money, much less repay the investment but it could be invaluable if you used it to boost your other products. Musk could have become a marketing super power using Twitter.. But he has not done this. Instead, he has tried to extract the value out of Twitter directly and thereby destroying the very tool he sacrificed so much to obtain.
Elon Musk both exposed himself as incompetent as well as drained his resources through this purchase and then went on to probably ruin his life by struggling to make something with it. Overall, it has been a disaster for him and I challenge anyone who disagrees.I clicked yes, but I am grateful to him though. I can actually go to that site now and say something as outrageous as "Trump was better than Biden is now," and not even get banned for it now. Elon did that for us that just want to speak our minds.
... and I'm stealing this fucking picture... shit is gold bruah!!! 😂
Yes, I think he complicated his life needlessly with the purchase of Twitter. I always thought of him as the conceptualization man. I've never believed him to be a good CEO.
Once a company grows to size, guys like that should step down and move onto new projects. Twitter was already more or less matured as a product. It doesn't need Musk.
I don't know, currently it looks like he's running it straight into the ground but maybe I'm wrong.
But either way with everything he has done recently he has shown that he has a very bad character. My opinion on him used to be indifferent and didn't follow the hype but now I actively dislike him
Like the guy shouldn't be busy enough with those crap-ass cars he makes.
Like Trump, he's a legend in his own mind.
Unlike Trump, Elon sort of is though.Tbh. This dude started off selling door to door with his brother. To become a billionaire.
He proved he knows what he's doin, so i ain't gonna speak out my mouth like i know more about business than he does.
I think he's jumped the shark. I liked him when he was focused on the future. Making a cleaner planet with electric cars and solar power and safer by working on automated driving. Plus the far future. Of working on the goal of a manned mission to Mars and a Mars colony. Pushing the frontier of manned spaceflight.
I don't see how Twitter helps that goal of getting man further in space or increases his financial capability to do so.
"needlessly" is in the eye of the beholder. he's a smart man. he has his plans. he actually breached the silicon valley liberal free speech monopoly with his purchase. i consider it a smart move. he's the only "conservative leaning" silicon valley powerhouse who now owns a social media platform.
Yeah. On the other hand I can imagine firing woke twitter employees is a fun I couldn't resist either.
He gave us the knowledge that Twitter and the other Tech companies are actively manipulating the news, opinions and suppressing half the nation. This should lead to regulations on the tech companies for o-ending up to true Free Speech as there are so few major platforms. This current situation is worse than yellow journalism and it will be studied in the future as a terrible set of circumstances for the people. He is the hero we need, not the one we deserve, heh.
Yes, he bought himself a hobby and addiction. It sucks as he really need to get back to SpaceX and get us to Mars
He took that "for the team" We had to get Twitter out of the hands of the Leftists. There's likely lots going on with behind scene investments into projects reciprocating that you don't know about.
I think he realizes that electric cars are going nowhere and the future is in space travel. He needs Twitter to tell people about why they should go into space.
Elon Musk is irrelevant to me, he lives inside his own little bubble where his inner circle treat him like he never has a bad idea. Long-term its a recipe for disaster
Probably. But I am very thankful that he is making this personal sacrifice for the good of humanity.
He's largely full of shit and not quite as clever or quick as he thought he was.
He's made twitter worse with his takeover.
Its his favorite pastime, and he had a valid free speech concerns for buying it.
You sound as busy as Elon Musk with the influx of messages you get 🤭 Do you have a play box too?
Yes, and so is Trump. Neither of them should care about this country.
