Both Tesla and SpaceX are doing amazing, ground-breaking things and are years ahead of their competition and still increasing the distance. Both companies are wildly profitable and have virtually certain profits going out at least 10 years.
Those companies have plenty of breathing room for Elon to step away for 20 hours a week. The people complaining are the people who don't like that Elon bought Twitter, and were certain that Twitter would crash once Elon dumped 80% of the workforce - but it turns out that Twitter didn't actually need thousands of people who went in work to attend 2 zoom meetings and then spend the rest of the day eating and playing on the company dime. Twitter has rolled out more improvements in the last 4 months than it did the entire decade before that, with a fraction of the staff.
I wish he would concentrate on Tesla, and Space X, two of his largest undertakings. I bought Tesla, and love the vehicle, and wish he would stick with what he knows best, Science, technology, space exploration etc and not involve himself in Politics.
My comments are for your edification only, Coach. Closing it to outside replies
I don't disagree.
👍👍
As an after thought, I was reading the post from "MrOracle' and his feeling has merit also, in that Elon has a huge staff to take care of day-to-day with both huge enterprises, and I agree with him in principal. I am glad that SOMEONE broke up the 500 lb gorilla in the room (Twitter)
He's a brilliant man, so in theory I don't think he could do any worse of a job. But he in theory could keep to doing what he is already good at, which is expanding our understanding into this universe and continuing to find a better way to deal with the changes we face.
But why not? He can afford it, as I said, he won't do any worse.
How so? He clearly hasn’t given it any real attention. I’m still convinced he bought that shit to deliberately run it into the ground.
Just not even close to being true. He's tweeting and retweeting and responding to people all the time.
Sure, he is dicking around. That’s not the same thing as giving your attention to the ownership of a business.
Are you answering a different question then the one stated? lol
What has he actually done? He threatened to buy it, then put in an offer, then said he wasn’t serious then got forced to buy it because his offer was binding, then he fired a shit load of people… does that sound to you like somebody who is taking it seriously?
I don't know LMAO you should ask that question because that is not my question. Can you not see the question above that I am asking? lol
Hey, if you are having a hard time understanding the words I posted, and how they are pertinent to the question you asked, that’s okay. Nobody is going to hold it against you.
No the question is easy just answer it. If you cannot or want to go on a diatribe then that is on you. It's a simple yes or no.
I did… there is no complications, because he clearly doesn’t give a shit about it. Just like any other billionaire he sprinkles some money on his problems tell they don’t matter anymore. Just like he has always done.
Was that so hard? thank you
lol. Don’t blame me because you can’t understand subtext and need everything spelled out for you. Like I said, it’s okay, nobody blames you.
I get 20 notifications a minute... sorry if I don't have the time for subtext lol I have other comments to attend too.. but you wouldn't understand that.
And yet you keep responding to my dumbass. Wow I’m flattered.
I have too some people are slow and I will take the time for them.

I thought Elon Musk was at least semi-competent at marketing and that Twitter could help him in this regard. Twitter would never be a business that would make money, much less repay the investment but it could be invaluable if you used it to boost your other products. Musk could have become a marketing super power using Twitter.. But he has not done this. Instead, he has tried to extract the value out of Twitter directly and thereby destroying the very tool he sacrificed so much to obtain.
Elon Musk both exposed himself as incompetent as well as drained his resources through this purchase and then went on to probably ruin his life by struggling to make something with it. Overall, it has been a disaster for him and I challenge anyone who disagrees.
I clicked yes, but I am grateful to him though. I can actually go to that site now and say something as outrageous as "Trump was better than Biden is now," and not even get banned for it now. Elon did that for us that just want to speak our minds.
... and I'm stealing this fucking picture... shit is gold bruah!!! 😂
I honestly don't see Tesla nor SpaceX having anywhere near as bright of a future without twitter.
Both companies very heavy depend upon social media awareness and support to get off the ground and makes sales. Integrating their produce with the same social media can only help them multiply and sustain sales.
Yes, I think he complicated his life needlessly with the purchase of Twitter. I always thought of him as the conceptualization man. I've never believed him to be a good CEO.
Once a company grows to size, guys like that should step down and move onto new projects. Twitter was already more or less matured as a product. It doesn't need Musk.
It seems hard for a conceptualization man to get traction for his new ideas without a social media platform to sell them on. To that end if he can reform twitter it would be an integral part of his plans going forward.
I don't know, currently it looks like he's running it straight into the ground but maybe I'm wrong.
But either way with everything he has done recently he has shown that he has a very bad character. My opinion on him used to be indifferent and didn't follow the hype but now I actively dislike him
Like the guy shouldn't be busy enough with those crap-ass cars he makes.
I mean if everything was under warranty then they would be cool but when people owe 15k for a new battery uh no.
Exactly, things that you don't find out till you own one. I had some friends that bought one, found out they couldn't get the charger installed bc of the old wiring in Toronto and had to trade it back in.
Like Trump, he's a legend in his own mind.
Unlike Trump, Elon sort of is though.
LOL good one
Tbh. This dude started off selling door to door with his brother. To become a billionaire.
He proved he knows what he's doin, so i ain't gonna speak out my mouth like i know more about business than he does.
I think he's jumped the shark. I liked him when he was focused on the future. Making a cleaner planet with electric cars and solar power and safer by working on automated driving. Plus the far future. Of working on the goal of a manned mission to Mars and a Mars colony. Pushing the frontier of manned spaceflight.
I don't see how Twitter helps that goal of getting man further in space or increases his financial capability to do so.
"needlessly" is in the eye of the beholder. he's a smart man. he has his plans. he actually breached the silicon valley liberal free speech monopoly with his purchase. i consider it a smart move. he's the only "conservative leaning" silicon valley powerhouse who now owns a social media platform.
So do you think he is complicating his life or not? lol I mean I love the energy and the answer but doesn't answer my question
no, i think it will make his live easier for him. because by owning twitter he now has the power to shape public opinion in favor of his other compenies. having a say in "public opinion" is way more effective than lobbying in the political arena i would say. so even if he loses money on twitter, it will probably still be a net win.
Thank you..
Yeah. On the other hand I can imagine firing woke twitter employees is a fun I couldn't resist either.
He gave us the knowledge that Twitter and the other Tech companies are actively manipulating the news, opinions and suppressing half the nation. This should lead to regulations on the tech companies for o-ending up to true Free Speech as there are so few major platforms. This current situation is worse than yellow journalism and it will be studied in the future as a terrible set of circumstances for the people. He is the hero we need, not the one we deserve, heh.
Yes, he bought himself a hobby and addiction. It sucks as he really need to get back to SpaceX and get us to Mars
He took that "for the team" We had to get Twitter out of the hands of the Leftists. There's likely lots going on with behind scene investments into projects reciprocating that you don't know about.
I think he realizes that electric cars are going nowhere and the future is in space travel. He needs Twitter to tell people about why they should go into space.
Every car manufacturer on the planet are rolling out electric cars what are you saying? lol
Fair enough
You are so right, electric cars are great for short range commuting, things that a good mass transit system could probably handle with trains and buses.
They are terrible at cross country travelling or long distance driving and ya I have heard of a few fires and those 15k battery replacements.
Elon Musk is irrelevant to me, he lives inside his own little bubble where his inner circle treat him like he never has a bad idea. Long-term its a recipe for disaster
Probably. But I am very thankful that he is making this personal sacrifice for the good of humanity.
He's largely full of shit and not quite as clever or quick as he thought he was.
He's made twitter worse with his takeover.
You sound as busy as Elon Musk with the influx of messages you get 🤭 Do you have a play box too?
Yes, and so is Trump. Neither of them should care about this country.
Its his favorite pastime, and he had a valid free speech concerns for buying it.
Yes, but with that much money he probably gets bored easily.
No more so than he complicates his life doing all the things he does to become a freaking billionaire.
We can’t Tweet ourselves to Mars, Elon! lol
I think it actually is needed so
He seems constantly on it.
He also seems like he has regular shits in the morning... doesn't answer my question lol
I thought it did. Good bye.
LOL okay
I misread it. Perhaps, I don't know his day to day duties. I think it could have helped him get more interest in his other endeavors like Tesla and Space-X as it seems harder to make the investment back on its own.
Yeah I mean you would think Twitter would be the least of his focus but seems like a distraction to me for getting someone to die on Mars lol
Don't care. Sick of hearing about him.
