I have a Model S, and Yes, from the rear, it looks like one of the hot Porche's
No, Teslas are so ugly and require too mich maintainence, it's such a scam
I have a 2015! Too much maintenance? There is NO Maintenance Requirement for my Model S or any other model. My Model S has 96,000 miles on it, and have replaced the 12 Volt battery that runs accessory lights (warranty covered that) and the 'main frame" computer (warranty covered that)
AND the coolant that keeps the electric motors cool. (125.00)
96,000 miles, and 7 years - "Too much maintenance"? Where do you get that kind of inaccurate information?

Not at all. I know Porsches are supposedly nice cars, but ever since I was a kid and a teen, I've always thought they were funny looking, and some even downright ugly. I don't like the aesthetic of most Porsches.

This 911 above for example, just looks dumb to me. The bug eye headlights, the weird bubble rear end. It looks more like a AMC Gremlin copy than a Tesla:

Tesla, on the other hand, has a very sleek and smooth exterior, without bulky weird headlights or back end. It doesn't really have terribly distinct design, aside from the lack of a grill which is awesome. But the design is fairly basic, streamlined and simple, reminds me a bit of the old Saturns.

No, the aesthetic problem with Teslas is that they look incredibly generic- like an oversized hot wheels toy car, but they cost as much as a BMW or an Audi without anywhere near as much character. There is a marketing reason for this and why electric vehicles are compulsively ugly, but it remains a difficult to ignore downside for all Tesla models.
I forget who did the study, but years ago some of the Japanese brands made electric and hybrid vehicles that looked identical to their gas powered equivalents, but they performed poorly in sales. The reasoning was because people buying the electric cars wanted their cars to look distinctive so that everyone else would see them and think they cared about the environment. As a result, pretty much all electric vehicles with very few exceptions are distinctively ugly and look cheaply made.
@jshm2
That 'eventually' have been for 50 years now, no? That way too eventually. Like, not even happening.
And sell Tesla to who? You sell to people, richer than you. This just isn't how it works, not in his case. If he had thinking like yours, he would not be the richest person ever. But he is. And there is nothing anyone can do about it.
Except rant ofc.
Shush sweetheart, the men are talking. Can't you go and make a sandwich or something?
@EnglishEuropean
I do make sandwiches. But not for you. That's the sad part. :)
I tried to answer to a guy, only to find out i was already blocked. Some people really can't stand other people's opinions, and have more people blocked , than followed.
@EnglishEuropean It's not like it's even a good thing to copy a Porsche any more. They haven't been worth much since they were bought out by Volkswagen. Get a Ferrari, there is no substitute!
What is it? I didn't block you, must have been some other loser.
@EnglishEuropean
Not you.
Well okay then!
They probably remind me the most of late '90s Fords, like the Mondeo, Cougar, Puma and Escort - it's a similarly rounded, bland and utterly generic approach to styling.
The newer ones seem to be modelled on Aston Martins and recent Fords with the same grille (eg. Focus Mk3 facelift) - obviously the Teslas don't have a grille, but they have a big flat area the exact same trapezoidal shape.
Tesla is rather shit and has hit a brick wall like all Elon Musk's hairbrained ventures eventually do.
It's why Elon is trying to jump to Internet services and will sell off Tesla when he does.
There havenβt been unique vehicles for decades. Itβs all copy the one that makes the most money.
All I know is that Elon musk should stick to designing rockets
Virtually all crossovers look like every other crossover. If I took the badges off of 5 crossovers of different brands, most people could not tell you which brands they were.
Not from Front. Is all. Deponds on what model you buy from Teslas galleries. I watch a video about on youtube and skme that tiktok. I do not have. Seen Teaslas a lot in england.
I think it's different enough to fall outside of copyright infringement.
Basically if porsche sues tesla i don't see them winning
Not really. Given that electric cars all look alike, you can see that one is a Porsche and the other is a Teflon... er, I mean Tesla. Also the Tesla looks fuck ugly.
No. not really. I wouldn't want either of them in truth.
I do and said that the first time I saw one
Absolutely not in fact Porche investigated it.
not really but there is only so much you can do with a sedan.
Funny how everything is an Apple and Tesla rip off these days.
That's exactly what it looks like, good call Lol
Kinda the same aerodynamics
