Which typing sound you like the most? The laptop keys or the standard keyboard keys or the mechanical keys?

I can attest for laptop vs the standard keys. I am with the standard keys. Just love the fulfilling sound of typing.

I have not experienced the mechanical keyboard, so cannot say for them.

I like the keys noisy and springy with metal springs inside. Typewriters are a little too noisy and require too heavy a press with the finger in ways for my ideal (although I learned how to type on a typewriter), but my sweet spot lies in the keyboards from the 80s and 90s with metal springs inside.

Aside from still being quite noisy and giving me that auditory feedback and rhythm which I find helps me to type more consistently, the keys also really spring your fingers back in ways that I feel tend to help me with speed but don't require pressing them nearly as hard as a typewriter. So there's this bouncing rhythm to my fingers, combined with the noise, that I really favor. Those soft and sunken notebook keyboards kill so much of the joy of typing for me.
