Which keyboard are you most used to?

Congrats to you on transitioning to a new job first of all!
Now to answer the question, I can adapt to all types of the keyboard presented. Although I have trouble with the UK keyboards and will not work on one if ever given the chance. I would say Im used to the full PC keyboard as that is what I have in my home.
As a tech engineer though, my dream keyboard that I am oh so eager to get used to is, Split Mechanical Keyboard. I notice with a regular full PC keyboard it forces my arms to reflexively tense up to meet the demands of hitting the keys quickly and causing underarm sweat to build in the process ( ewwww ). So having a split keyboard to relieve this would be a dream.
This job is so fulla shit i wanna transition back 😂
I voted B, because my laptop keyboard is closer to B. I actually use my phone the most, but it's swipe not type (hence all my typos).
Haha i can't with the swiper no swiping for me
Wasn't your last job full of "dumb women" and you had to train them or something? I always assumed you worked at the DMV or some other government job.
Anyway, laptop keyboard, which I'm literally using right now to type this. Only, it has thick keys like a PC keyboard and not those obnoxious flat keys most laptops have. I also couldn't use this ugly-ass Acer without an actual PC mouse either.
It wasn't the dmv but yea it was a silly fed job. This ones no better
I will never stoop low. My jobs are high and mighty. Just crooked af with slave hours
A full keyboard with mechanical switches, an arm rest, backlit, with custom macro options 😂 I use that shit just about 14 hours a day, lol
Holy smokes

Over many years, since my childhood till now, I used many different keyboards. It started with a French azerty real mechanical typewriter. During my military service I had to face German querz keyboards, still with classic typewriters.
My first computer, an IBM desktop running DOS, had a Belgian azerty keyboard, and that's the layout I still prefer. But one of my laptops has a British querty layout, and another a Swedish one. When I was in my teen years I memorized the azerty layout, and on every computer I had, and have, whatever is written on the keys, I just type blindly as if on Belgian azerty. It's a matter of configurating the layouts. Sometimes I have to switch layouts in order to type some special character as for instance "åÅ".
On the other hand I don't have a Smartphone, only a classic cellphone with its older phone keypad.
I mix up my week with working from home, working from the office and out n about.
this means using my home keyboard (expensive gaming one, which is great) also my cheap works one which is smaller and keys closer together, my laptop with a crap keyboard, my IPad Pro either screen keyboard or Apple key board.
my typing really sucks at moment as I touch type but changing keyboard sizes sucks big time, as certain letters are not in the right place lol.
My typing definitely sucks
B) all the way. You can have a wrist rest pad too.
I have my own problems with laptops plus carpal tunnel problems so the OG keyboard is the one i always use.
Yea i think i have carpal too so not looking forward to this
This one is better than laptop keyboard, specially if you have any hand/wrist problems.
A full keyboard, the number pad is so much faster when you're doing math, accounting, taking payments.
I find mini keyboards slow and hard on my shoulders and wrists. I'm already 6'1" and naturally muscular, I'm not built for a desk job. I'm already stiff af after a day on a full size keyboard, I'd probably end up with an RSI using anything smaller.
Besides, clacking away on my big mechanical keyboard makes people think I'm working harder than I am.
I never used the number pad in life lmao
Do you like, do actual work on the computer?
Yea but anytime i needed the numbers, i used to the top row numbers rather than the number pad
That's so slow though 😂
It works best for me
Definitely the full keyboard. My first one was a buckling spring switch keyboard called the IBM M3. this is what I use now. Still mechanical keys. It's behind the boat lol
Ooo i like how yours glows
Lol me too! But that wasn't the reason I bought it, it was the tactile feel of it.
Omg-. I remember texting on those old phones. That took SO long! Lol. Especially if you f'ed up and hit the button too many times. Hahaha. ... But I actually got pretty good at it after a while. (And it was awesome when they added predictive text!!)
by the way, CONGRATULATIONS!! 👏😃🎉
I dont miss it at all haha. And check the update
@DizzyDesii Aww. Is it that bad?
Yesss
Aww. I'm sorry.
I’m used to my phone keyboard because I do spend a lot of time on it. Every now and then I get to use the pc keyboard at work depending on who’s at the front desk. I really hate the chrome book keyboard. It’s not so much about the typing but it’s when I have to scroll down
Yea i dont like chromebooks at all
If you are wearing a headset the best way to hear and communicate is to put an earplug in your other ear so no background noise is a distraction but I have used both desktop and laptop and I literally need to use a mouse due to the computer constantly freezing up and clicking something I wasn't supposed to followed by a "come see me" note to go to the principals office 😜
I think theyre noise canceling
I can only use what you call a full on keyboard.. If I was required to use anything else? I'd buy one on Amazon as quickly as possible or bring one in from home!
IF I was required to use anything else, I would download a copy of Dragon Pro, as it does a good job of converting your speech into text!
Full keyboard at my desktop. I have a laptop which I seldom use and a Chromebook which I take on vacations. My WhatsApp account is link to my desktop so that I can type with the full-sized keyboard. I hate phone keypads, so my phone is for phone calls, single sentence texts, and sending an occasional photo or document.
I am most efficient on my little chromebook keyboard. It's the right size to type quickly for me and has flat rather than raised keys 👍
Ooo flat sounds way better
Oh no! Sounds really bad! I haven’t used an actual completed in about the same amount of time. But this job sounds aweful!
Im about to cry legit
Lol yes i’d hug. And well i thought it was something administrative but turns out they think im about to be a fckin saleswoman. Hell no
No but the coworkers did
I'm used to PC keyboard the most. Second would be new phone keyboard, then laptop, then old phone keyboards.
There are different height pc keyboards tho (the keycaps). I'm not a fan of the high profile keyboards, low profile is more comfortable for me.
I love this old keyboard from the 1990s
Look like it got pissed on 🤣
They start to turn yellow after being 30 years old
I know. We have one haha
@exitseven yes and so awful
For me it's all of them besides the older phone keypad, sorry but I can't do that😂.
Hahaa
I'm used to the laptop keyboard and it's my personal favourite.
I prefer the phone but yea im definitely used to the laptop in comparison to this one
I use my laptop the most, but don't remember having any problems with a normal pc keyboard. My smartphone typing skills are shit though xD
All of ours haha
Kinesis Advantage keyboard.

I like a full keyboard.
Sorry about the job thing. That sucks.
Yea im stuck here for the next 3 months at the least. **sigh**
I use all kind of keyboards.
But I still adore those old phones with qwerty keypads, not the digital on-screen keypads, they are shit as fuck, but the ones we used to with Blackberry or Nokia 97 or E63.
