Do you find this social media habit a bit dumb?

or not necessarily? The habit is each time a person has a birthday, the birthday person post many photos on their social media account, of the celebration with friends or family or both, and then after the photos are there, the person wrotes a long gratitutde speech, thanking lfriends, family and life for having the birthday.

I happen to have 2 different acquaintances whose 50`s birthdays were one week of difference and they both did the same thing. Post on their social media accoutn, photos of their 50`s biirthdays and a long speech.

Is it really necessary to do it or not? I turnred 50 last year and due to the pandemic I could not have a gathering from any kind not even from my family or my friends did anything to dme. This year it happens the same on my 51, never had any gathering of any kind from anyone. But even if I had one, I won't post photos of my celebration or wrote a big speech for the public to know and me feel validadted and feel important. I would had kept photos or the gathering in pirivate or just to share it with family or friends in private but not post anything on social media.

I mean nowadays people post on social media almostt their entire life, in order for the person to be known, to feel important, validated. What they eat, where they went, some, gym dumb selfies (the ones holding the mobile in front of a mirror and the mirror covers yoru face, , isn't that dumb?) m gym flexing photos, photos showing your new bikini, the new item you just bought, your lingerie and asking for opinions about it, really? etc, , and many other type of stupid photos you can see out there on social media.

Do you really need to post EVERY SINGLE PHOTO YOU TAKE in your daily life on social media? Technology had made some people really stupid!!!
