Background apps on iphone and doubts?

Hi so basically i went on omegle and disconnected and then i went on my iphone camera app, no one can record me right because a ) i disconnected and b) the app itself cannot record you isn't? And IOS said that camera usage is prohibited in background

You would not have been recorded. I had to check with my SO and this is his explanation:

"Each app has to have permission to use the camera. If permission is granted, it is only granted while using that particular app. Upon closing the app or disconnecting/signing out, the usage of that permission is terminate until the app is started or signed onto again."

So, he is saying that as long as you disconnected or logged out, you are fine, even if the app was open in the background. The camera permission is not carried from one app to another he added. It is only per app and that is it. He also said that on newer iPhone software, there is a little dot that appears in the top bar when the camera is active.

That is just in case you ever want to check that it is active or not. I hope this helps. Well, more like I hope HE helped you. I'm pretty useless with tech.

Thank you so much, yes i did allow camera and microphone access initially to omegle in safari app and i put it into the background to access my iphone camera app and use it and it probably didn't allow access to omegle to what i was doing because of IOS software isn't?

Okay so my trusty SO is right next to me and says "Think it as a license. Each app has a license to access what you allow it. They do not transfer across apps however. So, if you license one to have access to camera and mic and then another the same thing, they can both do that but only while using the app. Only one license at a time for iOS."

Hope that technobabble helps you. He is saying that only one app can utilize it at a time even though multiple apps may be enabled to use those features. So, once you switch to another app, the other one is suspended until you go back or log back in.

What device are you on? If its a laptop or desktop, put a piece a take over the camera eye.
